Chester Wedding: Laura and Mike
Late October saw Pixsmiths, Wirral wedding Photographers in Hoole Chester for the wedding of Laura and Mike. A wonderful wedding – realised during the day that Sandy had known Laura’s Mum and Dad many years ago! First up a few bridal preps and details with Laura and her sister and Mum in a B& B across the road. no car was needed but the bride did stop the traffic as she crossed over to All Saints Church, Hoole to make her entrance – made for some different photos! Laura’s beautiful engagement ring provided the inspiration for their purple colour scheme. The church service at their own church was a lovely ceremony with their families and friends very much involved in the proceedings. Tea and winter Pimms refreshed all for the formals and then it was time for the wedding breakfast – the Church Hall had been amazingly transformed with swathes of white drapes and twisted leaves and lights. The Outside Caterers, Country Cusine did a superb job with hot and tasty food. The speeches were fabulous and we were entertained with slideshow of the couples early years in various disguises. Evening celebrations went just as smoothly with balloons falling on the couple for the first dance. All too soon it was time for the couple to make their exit…with one last surprise in store for them – they know what we mean but decorum means we can’t show here!. So thank you Laura and Mike for choosing us to capture your special day, we wish you continued laughter and joy throughout the years to come. x Below just a few images – full gallery is on-line. – password required.

Sam and David Cheshire Wedding
Venue: Mecure Chester North Woodhey House Hotel
Photography : Pixsmiths Creative Photography
Make up: Lisa Smith
Chair Covers: Ambient Chair Covers
The 1st of October and it was a hot and humid Indian summer’s day at the Mecure Chester North Woodhey House Hotel in Cheshire. A late afternoon start for David and Sam’s ceremony meant plenty of time for the bridal preps where Sam kept her cool despite the busyness happening around her and the unseasonal temperatures, not helped by the absence of air conditioning. A devoted dad and organised mum and bridesmaids kept things under control.
Sam followed the well know tradition of “Something Old, Something New, Something borrowed, Something Blue…and a lucky sixpence in your shoe”. We also spotted the groom’s wedding present but were sworn to secrecy!
A small intimate family wedding ensued, enjoyed by all, and the photography was a breeze with a well organised best man. The reception over the speeches begun with hankies at the ready. The evening swelled with more friends joining the festivities which made for a great party to celebrate their life as a married couple. …and the big secret, a huge Starship Lego kit, now completed and proudly on show in their home. Wishing you much happiness Sam and Dave, really glad to share in your story. x

A busy time for us still at the moment with wedding and pre-wed shoots ..oh and a holiday in the midst. So at last time for a fuller post on Anne and Jamie’s wedding at the beautiful Hillbark Hotel.
First up a visit to Anne’s family home for her bridal preps to capture some details and girl time pampering before heading off to Hillbark to see Jamie and his best man. Best man turned out to be dad standing in due to a family engagement of the original one. Friends and family were gathering an hour before the ceremony so everyone was relaxed and in good spirits!
Soon it was time for Anne’s arrival in the unique pink Rolls Royce owned by Hillbark and soon she was walking in to greet her groom, making her entrance across the gallery above the hall. A short ceremony and then time for the festivities and a wonderful meal – their dessert plates were beautifully decorated, a lovely touch by the caterers.
Rain meant that the outdoor confetti shot was made at the 3rd attempt but finally we got there!
Other formal groups were taken outside later just before the evening entertainment – provided by the official number one Michael Buble Tribute , artist, Kriz K. As you can imagine an excellent night ensued. Some of our favourite images are shared from the day below.

Pixsmiths have been busy with several weddings and recently covered a church service in Flint followed by a reception at the magnificent Soughton Hall. The Hall, a luxury private hotel , was looking resplendent with its red creeper shining in the sun. A wonderful day all round, the most organised ever best man got us through the group photos before we headed to Soughton Hall. A fantastic meal in the marquee and then the evening dancing had lots of energy. Our bride and groom have requested not to show pictures here but they are delighted with their personal gallery of over 700 images. Shame we can’t share their beautiful pictures but we fully respect their privacy. We can share a few venue shots so I hope you enjoy and if you wish to know more about planning your wedding photography here please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Laura and Mike – Brotherton Park
It was just a few weeks ago that Laura and Mike booked us for their October wedding in Chester so pretty soon we were organising their pre-wed shoot. Location was Brotheron Park a delightful nature reserve in Spital, Wirral. Must have driven by this place so many times before and not noticed it. Delightful flower meadows, trees, lake and bridges, bulrushes and a tunnel, so lots of scope for pictures. We had some spells of dry weather and a few rain clouds but being good fun laura came prepared in her colourful rain boots and the umbrella shots were fun anyway. So enjoy the few shots shared here and we look forward to their wedding in late October.
