Intimate Sheldrakes Restaurant Wedding Dee Estuary

Sheldrakes Restaurant Wedding

We always love having an intimate Sheldrakes Restaurant wedding to shoot.  Its a fab wedding venue right on the Dee estuary and local to us.
We often cover ceremony, family pics and portraits here for an affordable wedding photography solution
Not everybody wants full day coverage and we are glad we can be flexible being such a local Wirral venue.

Jonathan and Debbie booked us for such a package – and its surprising how much can be covered in this time.
A relaxed day with guests enjoying a drink on teh terrace before the ceremony
A joyful Sheldrakes Restaurant wedding – a lovely touch was Jonathan waiting at the top of the aisle for Debbie.
Her proud dad handing her over and then letting the two of them walk together the rest of the way down the aisle to get married.

It was a bit of an overcast day but we got through the family groups and portraits in the nick of time.
Literally just as  the raindrops started to fall!
Happily by then it was time for the wedding breakfast to begin so all was well and everyone kept dry.

Jonathan and Debbie thank you for being such a great couple and asking us to cover your intimate wedding
It was a joy to see you enjoy each others company so much and all teh giggles you shared.
We wish you much happiness.

Intimate Sheldrakes Wedding

Many congratulations to Deb and Alex married just a few days ago – an intimate Sheldrakes Wedding.
The venue was was elegantly dressed by Sid & Olive Vintage Weddings & Events
A simple ceremony and a meal for close friends and family were just what our boho bride wanted.

Deb , not the one to be centre of attraction opted to have a small ceremony and a beautiful meal with close friends and family.
It was all very laid back.  Deb and Alex were mingling with their guests for drinks an hour before the ceremony.
We had customised a small package for them – one of our essentials up to 3 hour packages
pre ceremony, the ceremony itself of course followed a by a few family groups and portraits whilst the room was being turned round for their meal.

Debbie looked gorgeous in her beautiful lace dress and adorned by a beaded headband and unique flowers from Leaf Flowers Heswall – loved the feathers in them
The ceremony was simple and beautiful.  Debbie was walked in by her father.  Two nephews handed rings to the bride and groom.
Two witnesses were selected from their guests, much to their surprise!

Soon it was time to exit – such a happy bride, flowers aloft in the air and impromptu confetti
The weather didn’t really play nice but they braved the elements for a few shots before their meal.
One big table for all their guests, elegantly set out.  We got a few shots and left them to enjoy their meal

Hope you enjoy your highlights and wish you much joy and happiness xx

Sunny Shades, Sunsets and Ice Cream at a Family Wedding

Romance blossomed on the local train platform for commuters Jen and Simon
They have been together some 14 years now and have a beautiful family
So now time to celebrate their love and commitment …not only with an eternity ring  but a wonderful wedding!

The whole day had such a relaxed happy feel to the day,Sandy was in sparkly ring heaven with the gorgeous details.
knowing Jen’s engagement ring  was designed with a grandmother’s diamond was even more special.
Bridal preps just flowed with chat and natural pics of Jennie with her daughter Ruby being pampered by good friend and make up artist Zoey
Ruby’s room just suited her to a T and made for some cute special  detail shots  for her too
Zoey is the partner for Simon’s best man – the taller one.  The shorter one being our couple’s son who later showed some great moves on the dance floor
Meanwhile the guys were getting ready at a nearby family home – it was great to be able to get both bride and groom preps captured.

The church – St Peter’s Lower Heswall  was packed for the ceremony.  Their were moist eyes as first the genteel minister lead Ruby in followed by Jen and her proud Dad
Jen walking towards her groom, looks down to see her son standing by his side, her daughter looking on, on the other side and the groom’s sister wiping a tear from her eye
it was a treasured moment. Charlie and Ruby almost stole the show with their reading, the obvious family closeness was a real joy to see during the ceremony

Afterwards whilst the bus did its first trip to nearby Sheldrakes we captured some family groups and a big group on the terrace at Sheldrakes as guests enjoyed the sunshine and canapes.  The flowers supplied by Lyndaflora were stunning  – the tables around the lower restaurant area were elegantly bedecked with tall vases with white and green flowers, simply stunning.
Soon time for the meal and speeches – interrupted by the sound of the approaching Showtime Ice-cream van.
Cue – kids streaming out  and running down to get their ices – popular with adults too later on a hot day.
Oh I think some were keeping an eye on an important  Eurpean final football game too, but will gloss over that :-/

The day soon followed into the evening, with cake cutting and dancing, look out for those special moves from Charlie doing the Floss dance.
Everyone had a fantastic day, loved all the moments captured and seeing the joy on people’s faces.
I said at the beginning of the day we were due a good sunset and Sheldrakes didn’t disappoint.
The colors and the boatyard provided some most memorable images
Jennie and Simon we wish you many many more years of happiness.Thank you for the privilege of capturing your day.

Please enjoy just  a few highlights from the many  love  Sandy & Dave xx

Its been a popular year for us with our Sheldrakes wedding photography – we’ve had several visits this year and hope they continue!
We always enjoy being at St Oswald’s in Bidston too so Jemma and Mark’s Wirral wedding day was a real joy for us to cover.

Ah what a day Jemma and Mark had at their Bidston church, St Oswald’s wedding and reception at Sheldrakes
Despite the mixed weather – bright sunshine when entering the church and out to a drizzle which became heavier – most importantly they got married and had a fantastic day and party!

The flower girls dresses hanging on the bedroom wall (loved the wallpaper!) was so cute and made a good backdrop for other details at the bridal preps.
Jemma’s dress though was magnificent, all those ruffles and flounces, gorgeous!  ..and how cute are all the flower girls!

Blessed with two Dad’s to support on her walk down the aisle to a nervously waiting Mark, not before they both helped fluff out that dress and provide a picture of the day!
Ron the vicar was wonderful as usual, such an amiable character.  He understands what a photographer wishes for their couples and accommodatingly stands to one side as couple says their vows to each other.

We just managed to get a group photo at the church before the rain came down so headed off to Sheldrakes to finish off groups there.
Fortunately we had a window of some rain free moments and got Jemma and Mark out for some bride and groom portraits as well as indoor shots too.
A packed Sheldrakes to help them celebrate all evening, the bar and dance floor were kept busy!

Thank you Jemma and Mark that we could share and capture your day. We wish you and your gorgeous girls every happiness  much love Sandy & Dave x

We are delighted to be a preferred Sheldrakes Wedding Photographer.
We simply love coming to this contemporary venue with its wonderful views over the Dee Estuary
and appreciate the wonderful staff who recommend us

We have covered full day weddings here, receptions and evening celebrations after a destination wedding
See our Sheldrakes wedding archives.

Toni and Andrew asked us to cover prior to the ceremony afterwards for a few hours to get the all important group and candid shots
We had a delightful few hours with them, covering up to speeches as they were before their buffet Dave covered those as Sandy did a ring shot
Teamwork with Pixsmiths!

The ceremony was one of the shortest available, the vows are made as they exchange rings
So it was soon time to grab a few groups and portraits before the speeches.

We loved all the details!
Toni’s dress was cleverly adapted from two dresses by the amazing team at Bridal Elegance
The bridesmaids dresses were a gorgeous turquoise colour, not a colour often seen but loved it
Toni’s mum did all the flowers and arrangements, the registrar table looked amazing with the flower decor
Lots of jars and vintage touches.  In particular the “guest book” consisted of “Message in a bottle”  Genius idea!
A Travel suitcase for the cards and a beautiful cake with new surname topper gracing the reception table

Many congratulations guys, we loved being with you and capturing some memories of your fabulous day
Wishing you much love and happiness
Sandy & Dave xx
