Royden Park Family Shoot
Family Shoot at Royden Park
An enjoyable time capturing a family shoot as well as some pre wedding pictures
Its nearly time for this family to be celebrating a wedding! Our couples always love a pre wedding shoot with us and family are always welcome too
It’s always good to get some pics on your own too so we suggest a responsible adult comes along to look after any young children whilst teh couple have their own portraits.
Our style is very natural, not over posey. We want our couples to engage with each other and that is exactly what Emma & Kevin did.
Lots of smiles and laughter at the ready. Really going to enjoy their spring wedding at Inglewood Manor.
It was lovely to meet mum and the family too on this pre wedding shoot in our favourite local park on the Wirral – Royden Park.
Unfortunately the walled garden was closed during the visit – looks like they were re-planting and organising the garden
Still plenty of other options to enjoy. The daffodils made for a beautiful frame. Emma spotted a Wirral rocks pebble which made for a unique ring shot.
Enjoy these highlights, just a few weeks to go til the wedding itself.
Delightful Peel hey Wedding Photography
So Happy for our couple that this delightful Peel Hey wedding could take place with dad walking his beautiful daughter down the aisle.
A few months ago there were some scary times. …Michelle could not contemplate the wedding without her dad and rearranged her date.
We were so happy we could change dates with them.
Refreshed from our winter cruise and stay in the Caribbean this February day started bright and dry.
Peel Hey is a welcoming guest house and Wirral wedding venue. A cosy atmosphere and marquee facilities, suitable for small intimate weddings.
Guests started to arrive and Mike was on hand to greet them. Michelle arrived in a cute red MG. Their daughter and niece were the cutest liveliest flower girls!
We managed a few gorgeous shots of them larking around.
Lots of giggles and smiles in the ceremony, the room was packed out with family and friends. So lovely to see their daughter involved during the ceremony.
Then time for canapes and group photos and a few portraits in the grounds of Peel Hey before we left them to enjoy the rest of the day.
One of our special short coverage weddings, only for our preferred local venues. Hope you enjoy these highlights in the gallery below.
Pixsmiths are a preferred supplier at Peel Hey and you can see us at their regular open evenings.
The next date is 28th March – hope to see you there to chat weddings!
ABode Chester Wedding Photography
It was our pleasure to capture the ABode Chester wedding photography of Steven and Preeti recently.
The ABode Chester hotel is a luxury hotel close to the town centre of to, hence ideal for sightseeing – just a few minutes walk to the city walls and river.
We enjoyed the bridal preps were Preeti wore two different saris for us to capture.
Cousins and sister were all on hand to assist and was quite chilled out.
The suite on the sixth floor had an amazing view from the balcony overlooking the Chester racecourse
and the welsh hills beyond. Made a lovely setting for bridal portrait.
The room itself is large and the bathroom suite impressive with bath one side of a wall and a walk through shower on teh other side
Guests gathered for drinlks in teh bar prior to teh 1pm . It was an international affair with guests flying in from around the world
Preeti was traditionally late so we really chasing time as meal was scheduled for just one hour later – yes 2pm!
Fortunately our couple knew this, its how they wanted their day and there was just a few groups and portraits to cover.
Happily the rain stayed off just until the wedding party sat down for the wedding breakfast
and we had got all the shots requested
Loved all the details and colours of this day and in particular the amazing Indian elephant cake.
We left them to enjoy their meal and evening party.
Much happiness to you Steven & Preeti
Dads always want to check their son’s collars are clean!
Winter Liverpool Wedding: Claire & Jamie
As Liverpool wedding photographers it was a delight to start our 2019 wedding season in Liverpool with Claire and Jamie for their winter Liverpool wedding.
Claire looked absolutely stunning her red hair beautifully braided and adorned with diamante pins and combs.
Her gorgeous lace embellished bridal gown was from Bethany Hannah Bridal in Cheshire – adore the sleeves and button detail Jamie scrubbed up well in his blue suit too.
We had not previously met Claire and Jamie, but had good communication beforehand as to what was expected for the day. All was planned and ready to go.
This was a wedding we had secured via Wedding wire – many brides are using lead directories these days.
We would always advise to check photographer’s portfolio and are happy this is what Claire and Jamie did when they booked us.
A very cold but dry day for this Liverpool wedding photography. The wedding ceremony took place at the architectural masterpiece of St George’s Hall in Liverpool.
The Jury room is always a popular place to get married in town. The registrars and co-coordinators here are welcoming and well organised, ensuring guests are directed to the ceremony before the bride’s arrival
A latish ceremony for a January, so after the 3pm ceremony and light fading as well as being so cold it we quickly got through the few groups as requested.
Such happy smiles as they exited with baby Jackson, what a cute family!
Time then for some bride and groom portraits using the colonnades of St George’s Hall
Off went the newlywed to their reception and we followed soon after in a taxi. The reception took place at Siren, in the Baltic triangle area of Liverpool.
A new Liverpool venue for us and what a little gem it is. I hope we are back at this venue again.
Siren can be booked for exclusive use, making it a great party venue.
The building is adorned with twinkly lights inside creating a wonderful and warm ambience. There is a roof terrace – but with the cold opted not to go up.
It was a good plan to get all family shots after the ceremony and then people enjoy the reception.
The canapés and food looked amazing, so well done to the caterers at Siren.
We enjoyed mingling with the guests, taking plenty of candid shots before they sat down for the meal.
We left then for them to enjoy the evening reception there.
Many congratulations on your wedding Claire & Jamie, we wish you much happiness

2019 kicks off with a Surprise Proposal!
What a start to 2019! We love a bit of romance so when Matthew approached us to capture his surprise proposal to his girlfriend Kerrie over the Christmas period.
We were only too happy to oblige! A Surprise Proposal is something that has been on our bucket list of things to shoot
Ashton Park was the chosen location as this was where they had first met and they love the walk their rescue dog Louie here or along the Wirral Way too
The Surprise Proposal Plan
Matthew arranged a chat with us a month or so before and also so we would recognise him on the day!
There was location scouting of the park for where Matthew could propose and we could be out of sight at different places and capture the moment
Images were sent – denoting choices and a certain tree was earmarked for a certain time. We had our plan!
As it happened New Year’s Day was the best day and time was set for mid morning so they then had the rest of the afternoon and evening with their families to share the news.
Capturing the Surprise Proposal
So New Year’s Day dawed – a little rain early o. The plan B for under the bridge to escape any rain was not needed as the skies cleared and evened turned to blue skies
We made our way , a short walk from home to Ashton Park and took up our positions out of sight, hiding behind bushes!
Soon Matthew and Kerrie arrived and we clicked away. Turned out just perfect, neither of them saw us! Sure they were just engrossed with each other.
We left them for a couple of minutes to hug and enjoy the moment to themselves, before joining them to congratulate them.
kerrie was completely surprise. This was such a privilege to capture and what a wonderful start to 2019 for them.
The shooting didn’t end there we continued with an engagement shoot for them.
Some 100 images in their gallery for them to treasure
Here just a few highlights to enjoy.
If you know of any romantic guys who would love to surprise their girl with a ring and have it captured discretely them please get in touch!
Festive Winter Wedding Inglewood Manor: Penny & David
Non Traditional Festive Winter Inglewood Manor Wedding Photography
Oh such a festive winter wedding at Inglewood Manor, The rooms beautifully decked and adorned with garlands and several Christmas trees.
So many gorgeous details. The snow cake with penguins and polar bear and topped with a gingerbread house. Really fittig for the festive theme.
Oh and our couple were blooming amazing too, totally non traditional enjoying a first look before the ceremony and then walking down the aisle together.
Inglewood Manor Wedding First Look
It was such a lovely moment to capture and see their reactions when David turned round and saw Penny for the first time in her shimmering Monsoon wedding dress
Penny had cleverly accessorised the back of her dress herself with string of pearls. The dress was stunning and so fitting for Penny
So relaxed with each other, it was a delight to see and we loved their many giggles!
Inglewood Manor Wedding Portraits
We took advantage of the light before the ceremony seeing as it was a late ceremony and would be dark afterwards being a Winter Inglewood Wedding
Inglewood has so many areas to take portraits we could avoid being overlooked by guests arriving for the wedding ceremony.
Inglewood Manor Wedding Photography of the Ceremony
We left them to have a few moments alone before the registrars cam to check their details before the wedding ceremony
Guests meanwhile had been gathering and enjoying canapes and then entered the Executive Suite (the oak panelled room)
Parents and Groomsmen, Bridesmaids and flower girl and page boy entered first before Penny and David finally entered, walking in together and looking so radiant
The Bridesmaids carrying lanterns which really fitted the Christmas theme.
A beautiful intimate family wedding, vows made and then what a kiss! \Soon time for the happy couple to exit for their mulled wine toast
Inglewood Manor Wedding Reception
There were a few groups but with plenty of time set aside and great cooperation they were soon done. Family pictures are so important, especially when families had travelled far and wide, many from New Zealand to be her for Penny and David. The staircase is a lovely option for photos for small groups but for larger ones we used the side room with its beautiful Christmas tree and whitish walls.
There was plenty of time to mingle before the guests moved down to the Burton Suite so festively set up for the wedding breakfast and not just with the Christmas decorations
The table centre pieces were cute miniature winter scenes in fish bowls , all carefully painted by Penny herself – how creative!
There were several speeches – Father of Bride, Mother of Groom, Groom, Bestman and Bride’s sister! we love to capture the emotion and reactions during these.
Plenty of emotion, laughter and toasts to enjoy. The speeches were before the meal and afterwards we left the party to enjoy their food and to continue the celebrations into the evening.
This was one of our short coverage twilight weddings and shows just how much can be captured in a few hours if you don’t require your photographers all day.
Of course we took a couple of signature ring shots that we love to do – the bar in the Burton Suite made for a fab reflection and colour for the rings – how unusual are they!
Many congratulation David and Penny – it’s evident to see how much you enjoyed your day. Thank you for doing things your way and for asking us to capture the most important parts for you.
Wishing you many years of happiness and health, love Sandy & Dave
