Country Church and Prenton Golf Club Wedding

Country Church and Prenton Golf Club Wedding

BEAUTIFUL BURTON CHURCH & PRENTON GOLF CLUB WEDDING

Our first time at Prenton Golf Club for a wedding reception and wow what a fabulous well-organised venue!
First a gorgeous country church wedding in the idyllic village of Burton.

The whole day was such an enjoyable wedding for Emma and Mark. and their adorable twins.
A host of fabulous wedding suppliers – – see Emma’s thanks at the end – made sure this day just ran so smoothly.
From easy-going preps to a glorious sunny day at beautiful  St Nicholas Burton Village Church to a relaxed reception at Prenton Golf Club.

Being a twin mummy is hard work, so planning a wedding on top is even more work!
Emma took it all in her stride, meticulously orgainised but also relaxed and a pleasure to be around.
Even an unplanned change of venue didn’t phase her – she took it all in her stride
Suppliers all helped out with suggestions and in the end, Prenton Golf Club was the perfect choice
We were able to co-ordinate with Kate at the Golf club with the timeline to ensure a great timeline – nothing was too rushed

Wedding Ceremony Burton – St Nicholas

Relaxed preps over, Emma looked stunning in her flower crown and bridal dress, Mark and the guys looking dapper in tux and jackets.
Capturing arrivals and chatting to guests as they arrived ensued.
The pictures of Emma and her twin girls rushing to meet her just melted hearts – even without the heat!
A beautiful ceremony – it’s a small country church and images are captured from the back of the aisle.
Readings, vows made, the choir sang and soon the bells were ringing for the exit to the sunshine.
A few family formals and then confetti exit on the steps before whisking off to Prenton Golf Club

Prenton Golf Club Reception

Our first time at Prenton Golf Club – and what a revelation!
It’s superbly organised with Kate at the helm, nothing is too much trouble and oh my the food from canapes to the wedding meal, absolutely delicious.
The reception area can be partitioned off for a small intimate wedding and then opened up to accommodate the evening arrivals.
The set up was so elegant and just what Emma had envisioned.
A good bar area and a balcony where we took the large group photo
The DJ area at night was firstly a great soft play area for the kids at the event, it went down so well.

Just nearby is a bit of grass said Emma, we can go there for pics – it turned out to be a gorgeous cute little orchard
The pathway through the tress on the golf course can also be used by bride and groom for more pics if needed too.
we were spoilt for choice for portraits.

We would be delighted to return to Prenton Golf clug again for a wedding reception
It provides a great space for a Wirral weddign venue.

Poulton Hall Gardens Marquee Ceremony

Michelle and Kieren chose the beautiful gardens of Poulton Hall for their wedding blessing ceremony.
They had planned on using the big lawn area with the weeping willow but British weather had other ideas for the day.
Fortunately, the large marquee for the reception was big enough and had space at one end to hold the ceremony –  Good choice as it did rain during the ceremony.

Bride and Groom having already had a legal ceremony made beautiful personal vows
Thankfully after that it cleared up and we could get group photos and portraits in the beautiful quirky gardens.
A large wedding to plan – how Michelle did it with moving house, and having a baby was just an incredible feat of organisation.

Entertaining speeches from so many family members present and abroad in the marquee followed by a delicious bbq.
The large wedding party and children really enjoyed the garden spaces too, so really happy the weather improved for all.
Enjoy a few highlights from this delightful summer wedding at Poulton Hall Gardens

FUN-FILLED ROMANTIC RUTHIN CASTLE WEDDING

Kate and Andy’s Rainy Ruthin Castle Wedding

Our first Ruthin Castle wedding and what a day it was.  For a 4pm twilight wedding, they sure packed a lot into their day
Despite rain for most of the day, nothing could dampen the joy of this wedding, the giggles and looks of love between them were wonderful to see and capture.
Ruthin Castle was where Andy proposed to Kate so whatever the weather it was going to be a special day and more memories made.

The planned outdoor ceremony on the Peacock terrace was understandably switched to inside in the Cornwallis Room which overlooks the terrace.
Both bride and groom were getting ready at the venue so easy to cover both preparations before the ceremony.
Kate was beautifully made up by Cathryn Rawlinson – madeupbycathryn

Wedding Ceremony Ruthin Castle

The ceremony was quite emotional with sons Ollie (ringbearer) and 6-month-old Eddie having starring roles.
Tears, giggles, and smiles throughout, a beautiful ceremony – although very warm and humid inside.
Afterward, guests relaxed in the Peacock Lounge with drinks.
Eventually, a wee break in the rain clouds so good on Kate for ordering everyone outside for confetti and group photos.
She so wanted outdoor pics so glad we could get them.

Bertie’s Wedding Reception Ruthin Castle

The reception was held in Berties – a warm cosy room graced with beautiful chandeliers.
A hog roast ensued and guests were entertained by the Magicians in Black.
Time for ice cream after the Hog roast – yummy
We got some cosy portraits inside and around the castle and briefly ventured out with a brolly to see the peacocks and their young chicks – so cute.

After the meal just before the light went we at last got some dry weather and got gorgeous relaxed pictures in the beautiful Italianate gardens
Was just perfect for our couple – know how much Kate wanted some pics around the rustic parts of the castle and gardens
Thank you to Andy for being a star hobbling around with a broken toe to get these pics too. – you made memories together.

Soon it was time to cut the cheesecake and dancing party fun
We also had time to capture toasting marshmallows in the fire pit and one last portrait of our couple with the twinkly fairy lights on the drawbridge where Andy had proposed.
Thank you Kate and Andy for having us along to capture your magical day.  Here are just a few highlights from a  wonderful day.

WONDERFUL WOODLAND WEDDING ABBEYWOOD ESTATE

Delamere Cheshire Woodland Wedding Venue

Are you looking for a perfect mix of indoor and outdoor space for your Cheshire wedding?  Then start planning your Abbeywood Estate wedding!
Abbeywood Estate so many areas and nooks and crannies that can be used to create your perfect day.
The stunning gardens provide endless opportunities for your photographs with differing colours according to the seasons.

Abbeywood Estate is a glorious luxury Cheshire wedding venue nestled in 45 acres of the Delamere countryside in Cheshire
Its gardens and cafe can be visited when not closed for private functions and makes for a pleasant place for afternoon tea.

Lea and Kevin fell in love immediately with this venue for their day and it was indeed perfect.
Various spaces can be used for the ceremony – the large light conservatory, the big lawn for the outdoors, and for something romantic, a space in the woodlands.
Lea and Kevs woodland wedding was just magical, even with a bit of rain – so typical of our  English summer weather!

Flowers at Abbeywood Estate

With the abundance of flowers on site the florist from the onsite shop prepares all the floral decor needed for your day.
Little jars of flowers for the table, stunning bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, and as seen here preparing the Groom’s buttonhole.

Both parties got ready on site in separate areas – with various cottages at the wedding party’s disposal.
It was a humid day so took time to capture moments and details inside and outside of the prep room as well as the woodland ceremony space.

Just a couple of weeks before the wedding Kev, who volunteers with the Hoylake RNLI was involved with a rescue of a woman stuck in mud off the marine lake in West Kirby.
Co-incidentally Pixsmiths were on hand to capture the rescue and at the time didn’t know it was our groom first off the hovercraft to assist. It was shown on the BBC too.
Several guests were part of the lifeboat crew,  but glad there was cover back in Hoylake when a shout went out on his wedding day!

Almost a First look!

Just before they had to speak to registrars Lea just wanted to say a few private words to her Kev, to hold his hand without actually seeing each other yet.
That would be saved for when she walked down the woodland aisle to him, assisted by her handsome sons and then her dad for the final part.
It was a privilege to capture such moments.
Then it was time for a few pics with the bridal party before walking into the woodland area to get married.

Woodland Setting Abbeywood Estate Wedding

Such a  beautiful setting for the ceremony an open gazebo adorned with flowers and ribbons and seating for the 100-plus guests.
Thankfully dy for the ceremony and not too hot.  The fresh air was welcome from the recent heatwave.
Lea was a picture in her bridal dress flanked by her sons and then Dad to a waiting kev – an emotional reaction ensued.
Their children read a poem, taking various lines in turn, before vows were made and rings given.

Ceremony celebrated and guests made their exit to the gardens for a confetti tunnel and canapes and groups – before the rain started
No matter plenty of indoor space at Abbeywood Estaes for the wedding guests to relax in before the delicious wedding breakfast.
We still managed to get some outdoor portraits too and the couple still had plenty of time to mingle with guests

Wedding Breakfast Abbeywood Estate

The large conservatory was the setting for the wedding breakfast.  It’s light and airy, almost bringing the outdoors in.
Truly a photographer’s dream to capture moments here.
Favourite pets past and present were remembered – making a feature of the table names
Entertaining speeches first and then food

After dessert, the surprise entertainment of the Singing waiters went down a storm.  Everyone was up and dancing.
Such enormous fun for everyone.

air guitar with singing waiters Abbeywood estate wedding breakfast

A little break in between the evening to capture a few more couple portraits – endless opportunities in the gardens – you don’t have to go far for a good picture.
kev’s daughter sang a beautiful song before the First Dance – oh my what a voice, a star in the making.
The party just continued from there.

I’m sure you will agree Abeywood Estate is truly a perfect place for your wedding
It really was the day that Lea and kev longed for, it lived up to all their expectations and it was such a privilege to share and capture.

Delightful Wedding Corinthian Grand Doubletree Hilton Liverpool

Our first time at the Corinthian Grand in the Doubletree Hilton In Liverpool.
Glad it’s not our last and what a fab venue this is with so much space for guests to mingle around the various spaces

Guests mingled in the library and bar area before the service which was in the cannon Suite on the first floor.
This room suited their intimate number of wedding guests.
Our couple did not want to go outside for portraits.  They simply wanted a relaxed day mingling with guests and good food.
Good options indoors for portraits with the library and staircase anyway so all happy
