Fun and Laughter at Sheldrakes Boatyard
Its pre wedding shoot season! We just love engagement shoots at Sheldrakes and Thursaston
so good catching up with our couples before their big day, hearing how the wedding plans are going, what details are being sorted etc..
Its settles any preconceived nerves about being posed..but hey we are really relaxed and not overly posey.
We much rather you have fun and interact with each other whilst we capture the action and reaction.
This was just the ticket for Laura and Andy as we met at Thurstaston country Park and then onto Sheldrakes boatyard for a few more shots
– wellies are always a good idea here, especially if tide has just gone out!
Good place for a strong coffee too on the terrace overlooking the Dee Estuary……oh and it made for an inspired impromptu ring shot.
Looking forward to their wedding in May – not long to go!
We offer location shoots for couples, engagements, family shoots, post wedding shoots, any couple in love shoots!
90 mins all images on USB, included in some of our wedding packages..just get in touch to arrange a session!
Ooh we just love loved up couples and Paul and Bev are no exception, sizzling chemistry guys! They were a dream to shoot on the Secret Retreat workshop – led by Claire Penn, Andrea Ellison and Lucy Woodrow.
Twinkle town Santa Maria di Castellabate and the Summer Palace (wedding) and the town’s Belmonte Palace were the perfect backdrops for these shoots. Enjoy!
Romantic Relaxed Outdoor Valentine’s Day Wedding
The most romantic day of the year, always wanted to shoot an intimate Valentine’s Day Wedding so we were thrilled to capture such a day for Lisa and Kevin. Kevin and Lisa have been together 7 years …so no seven year itch but time to get hitched!
Love Blogging! It’s such a delight, revisiting all the emotions and reactions of the day with a big beaming smile on my face ..and this one is a real treat….
Pampering for the girls in the fabulous Spa was the start of the day, Lisa was so calm and relaxed, perhaps the champagne helped! Then off to capture some details shots in a quiet room before the girls arrived back was a bonus, whilst Dave grabbed a few shots with the guys prior to the ceremony.
A cold but bright day meant systems go for their desired outdoor wedding in the pagoda of Thornton Hal, bedecked in aglorious turqoise peaccock color, erfectly matched by Lisa’s bridemaids.. A beautiful ceremony with one of the lovliest registrars we have witnessed. Lots of confetti, drinks and a few groups made for plenty of time for guests to relax and enjoy themselves as we captured relaxed candid shots throughout the day.
Just sixteen guests for the day and a larger party in the evening made a perfect combination. A long table in the Pulford Suite suited this size wedding…and what can we do for a small wedding cake alternative – well Ferro Roche was the answwer!
A thoughtful kevin, just before the ceremony..and afterwards he said he wished he’d married Lisa sooner ..ahh how lovely
Thornton Hall Pagoda – perfect for an outdoor intimate wedding
Dressing preparations over, the obligatory selfie and soon dad was arriving to escort his daughter to a waiting kevin
The evening kicked off with Casino from Sapphire Fun Casinos – the kids loved it, couldn’t keep them away! Also photobooth provided by ProBooth (good to meet you again Ben Ellis!) kept guests entertained, the high quality prints make for a fab fun guest book for a keepsake of a memorable evening.
Thank you Lisa and Kevin for allowing us to capture your day, truly a privilege and we wish you many more incredible beautiful memories xx

Santa Maria Seaside Boho Elopement Italy
How fabulous was this shoot on a workshop, led by the fablous Claire Penn, in Santa Maria di Castellabate during the Secret Retreat workshop
A loved up Italian couple, wow what chemistry Luigi and Antonia! …well they were married just a few days ago for real, it really shine through these images.
We were priviledged to be given access to the normally off limits summer palace and villa Sirena, by island of Licosia, belonging to the Prince and Princess of Belmonte.
Antonia’s dress is a genuine vintage 1960s Mexican wedding dress purchased from Etsy, perfectly complimeted by a feather headress and feather details in her barefoot sandals.
Luigi or Lu as he is know is local lead singer in a band. His styling was simple, his own clothes accesorised with a mustard bow tie, love those braces too!
The picture perfect picnic by the sea was masterminded by the uber talented Mandy Beck of Saddleworth Shindigs. She has a wealth of goodies in her aladdins cave treasure trove and squirreled some away for this shoot. The ceremony arbour hung in the trees was decorated with lace ribbons, feathers and hand made dreamcatchers. Mandy is so super talented.
A perfect laid back boho wedding elopement and picnic reception by the sea, doesn’t get more chilled out and idyllic than this!
An evening party ensued with good friends at the Azurro Lido on the beach, with music from Lu himself and lots of dancing…oh and fireworks on the beach, outstanding!
Hope you enjoy these images!

Anyway..digressing …before we get into our 2016 weddings just wanted to have a loook back over 2015. It was bloomin AMAZING!

Castle weddings, hotel weddings , church weddings with considerate ministers ! Weddings in old schoolrooms
Favourite venues like Hillbark, Leverhulme, Inglewood Manor, Thornton Manor, Rowton Hall Hotel as well as new venues like the delightful Rookery Hall and The Quay Deganwy
We even had a family wedding ..as GUESTS .and got to meet the incredible Andrea Ellison – even got to second shoot with her later on too at Crewe Hall!
There were trips away, Pacific coast of Mexico, Cilento Coast in Italy – Sandy went back to Italy for the fantastic girls only Italian wedding workshop with Secret Italy – oh my what a treat that was meeting Andrea again as well as uber talented Claire Penn and Lucy Woodrow along with all the other girls – such a talented network of like-minded photographers to know and call friends.
Back to Italy – can you tell we love Italy! ..this time to little known Ischia a gem of a spa island to explore.

Loads more goodness already planned for 2016, we simply cannot wait! Gorgeous weddings afoot and travels planned in too for La Gomera – where? one of the smaller Canary Islands,
Back to Secret Italy for a beach wedding, some hiking in the Swiss mountains and perhaps back to Cyprus in the autumn..who knows what else is planned! We are living the dream!
Enjoy these moments of 2015 for now ..and watch this space for all that coming in 2016
Elegant Black and White Festive Wedding
Our last wedding of 2015, and what a way to end a fantastic year with a Christmas wedding for Leanne and Scott, not quite the last day of the year but almost!
Scott and Leanne we had a fabulous day with you and overjoyed you had such a memorable day that we were privileged to capture for your memories.
Leanne and Scott childhood sweethearts, the only ones for each other, how special and romantic is that!
Been together 10 years and now an elegant black and white festive wedding for them at the beautiful Plas Hafod country House hotel sealed a perfect day.
Plas Hafod is a perfect winter wedding venue with it light airy conservatory room to make the most of winter light and also has ample room inside for group photos if needed.
This was the day of Storm Frank supposedly but it hardly bothered us, a little rain intermittently, but a breath of air for a few group shots and portraits was most refreshing.
Fantastic choice guys, hope you enjoy this little blog post of your highlights and wish you much continued happiness.
