Vegas Destination Wedding Home Party Sharon and Gaz
We watched Sharon and Gaz say their vows in Vegas, live-streamed from the wedding chapel with just 2 witnesses …seemed sureal as we sat in outr hotel room night before we flew to Italy.
They went and had a blast in Vegas on their honeymoon and upon their return it was a large colourful party for 250 friends and family at The Park Royal Hotel, Stretton, Cheshire.
Lots of colour, lots of food and a free bar made for a lively atmosphere that distracted from the grey drizzle outside. The vivid pink and navy colour scheme certainly added a splash of colour.
We went with the flow capturing the ambience of the reception and candid shots of the guests. Then an official entrance to the beating of drums and a surprise dance from Sharon’s besties – a bollywood style routine that went downa treat. Thank you for the fun guys, here a few higlights of the evening to enjoy x
Football Themed Thornton Hall Hotel Wedding: Adam and Lynne
Adan and Lynne’s Thornton Hall hotel Wedding was hoped to be outdoors..but you can never tell what our British summer will do!
Fortunately the Pulford Suite is also an excellent option for a small wedding party, and truthfully I think it suited this day better on reflection.
The whole day was all on one site and the day just flowed from preps to ceremony to reception and evening.
Hilighlight of the ceremony was Adam puttign the ring on the wrong finger and Lynne letting him – much laughter!
Splitting portraits either side of the wedding breakfast gives different lighting conditions.
A chance to stretch your legs after a meal, have a few minutes “you time” before the evening guests arrive
Second wedding in a row the lovely Sue Hazlehurst from Shimmer and Shine Professional was on hand for make-up, ever calm
Carrie Ann Shirley did a fab job on hair, Liessa Murtagh popped in to help Lynne into her Cherish the Bride dress, especially keeping calm at this time when little Scott was wanting his mum
Beautiful flowers from Earth Heswall and thier colourful turqoisse gel centrtepieces looked so colourful in the room.
Football loyalties shared today with the Liverpool and Tranmere theme to the table names.
Thank you Lynne and Adam for the priviledge of capturing your day, glad you all had a a wonderful day and we wish you much happiness x
Lever Social Club UK Party
We briefly covered Barry and Stephanie’s home uk party – a couple of hours was sufficient to get some family shots, candid guest shots before a cake cut and dance.
It was great for them to have a party with all their friends and family who could not travel to Italy – best of both world’s. Check out their Italian Wedding here
The bridal party got to dress up again and the club was decorated throughout with their yellw and butterfly colour scheme. The half weddign half batman cake was a real talkign point too.
Just made it as I ended up leaving after somehow slipping off the stage and gashing my leg on the stage edging – not a pleasant way to have to leave a party in an ambulance but happy that we still manged to get all the shots needed. Even with leg strapped up and waiting I managed to get some shots from my sitting position! dedicated to the end!
Yikes! The stage I slipped on – glad these kids didn’t do the same
Taken whilst waiting for ambulance!
Cornish Themed Wedding of Laura and Andy at Marco’s Hoylake
..of course there had to be ducks…..but let’s begin several years ago when Laura and Andy were toddlers…
Laura and Andy have kindly guest written this blog for us…thank you, its refreshing to have a personal touch.
Andy: My aunt is Laura’s god mother so as toddlers we mixed at various birthday parties and it was decided in the late 80s that we (my Mum, Dad sister and I, Laura’s Mum, Dad brother and her and my aunt uncle (my mums sister / brother in law and Laura’s mum n dads friends) and cousin) would all holiday in Cornwall. I think we did this two consecutive years and then things slowly drifted apart however myself and my family have always had holidays in Cornwall since. It wasn’t until late 2012 early 2013 my parents reconnected with Laura’s mum and dad and then through the joys of Facebook I got talking to Laura again. The rest on that score is history as they say lol (we have had two Cornwall holidays in 2 and a half years though haha).
We got engaged in Bruges next to lovers lake in December 2014 and the parents gate crashed that one as well but it worked out nicely.
As for wedding we had planned I don’t think we really knew, all we knew is we didn’t want a church so we had a look around and Holiday Inn, Marco’s New York Italain Hoylake ticked the boxes. As for suppliers majority of flowers came from the excellent Cornish sells everything shop that is Trago Mills and where customised by my mum. Laura’s dress was from wed2be. Bridesmaids dresses from bridal secrets and butterflies in Ellesmere Port, table centres made by my mum (recurring trend that isn’t Cornwall haha) the ducks however did come from Cornwall, we had seen them on holiday last year and my sister sneakily picked some up. Hair and make up Sue Hhazlehurst shimmer shine and Claire kendrick and obviously the worlds best photographers.
So this lovely couple really had known each other since toddlers and holidayed together, not a straight path to this day, but from their obvious joy and happiness you can see they were meant to be! It was a special day with their families. There were giggles in the ceremony as Laura was pre-empting the vows, the childhood stories, popping up in the speeches, with pictures of course, a trip to the beach at Red Rocks – thank you for braving the wind guys. We got some golden light shots before the evening started and Andy was captured air guitaring during the dancing.
A personal and memorable day for Laura and Andy’s wedding at Marco’s New York Itailan. We are so happy this lovely appreciative couple had a fantastic day and we will continue to follow their story as we keep in touch xxE njoy your honeymoon guys – so fitting that a aport of call will be Bruges.
We asked their favourite moments: “All of it? Haha different bits for different reasons. Laura says walking down the aisle but can’t choose, Red Rocks was an excellent escape for 20 minutes. Seeing people we hadn’t seen in a while and the laughs had. I suppose my favourite moment was when I could call the girl of my dreams my wife ” (brownie points Andy!)
Having an “escape” on a wedding day is a great idea just to be with each other, so much time can be spent with family members and friends and general busyness of the day which goes at lightning speed., so having that time just to connect with each is so important and something we always try to factor in on a wedding day.
Just a few pic highlights above ..but please enjoy this little slideshow video of the day
If youa re planning your day at Marco’s New York Italian Hoylake and are lookign for a photographer, do drop us a message.
Its so local to us e may have special deals for you.
Stephanie and Barry’s Destination Wedding Italy: Santa Maria di Castellabate
Wow where to start with this fabulous destination beach wedding in Santa Maria di Castellabate, an idyllic authentic part of Italy. A little known seaside town in comapison to the Amalfi coast but just what Barry and Stephanie wanted. A laid back affair with the closest of their friends (some whose weddings we had covered in the uk) and family. They thought Italy would be too expensive and they wanted a lovely beach …..so I showed them Santa Maria and they fell in love with the place!
The number 19 is an important date for Steph and Barry – they met on the 19th, one of their daughters was born on a 19th, somehow their wedding in Santa Maria was booked for the 19th May They even chose row 19 on the plane out to Naples! It was meant to be!
The family stayed in the humunous Villa Virginia up in the hills overlooking Santa Maria. Lost count of the number of bedrooms!
Bridal preps were in the local hair dressers – Angela’s in the main street, before heading back to the Villa for final preps and dressing. Stephanie chose a gorgeous Italian design from Tina Louise for her lace bridal gown. Soon time for the taxi and cars to wish the bride and bridal party to the Lido Azzurro for the beautiful beach ceremony. So touching at the end when Stephanie and her Dad linked by phone to her sister, who unfortuantely could not be with them.
The customary walk through the town to sign papers at the Town Hall, taking pics as we went along and then back for the Lido Reception to enjoy a fine meal, hilarious speeches with Barry demonstating his chat up moves, dancing and fireworks on the beach for a spectacular end to a most memorable day.
Thank you Steph and arry for our personalised favours, a lovely touch with the poem , so happy you an amazing time here and know you will be back!
that figure 19!

Adelle and Matt Sheldrakes Wedding on a so Sunny May Day
A glorious sunny day for a Sheldrakes wedding and party! Sunshine a gorgeous couple and a fabulous venue at Sheldrakes restaurant overlooking the Dee Estuary.
Just perfect ingredients for a relaxed wedding and knees up in the evening, just as Adelle and Matt wished for.
We started the day at the hair Salon in Heswall, just chilling with the girls and then onto Adelle’s mum’s beautiful stylish home to capture some details before the girls arrived back to get dressed. Adelle’s dress was a stunning delicate lace design which slipped over a long ivory underslip, so fitting , gorgeous. So relaxing for Adellee and her bridesmaids could relax outside – always good to give yourselves plenty of time to relax and enjoy the wedding day as it true it just flies by!
Onto the ceremony with Speedwell motors (a family friend) at Sheldrakes. Really like the way the room is set up for Sheldrake civil ceremony weddings – like a horsehoe so its more of an intimate, involved feel for the guests to see the vows being made.
An elegant emotional ceremony then onto group pics, we opted to do majority of bridal portraits in the gorgeous evening golden hour light and then party the night away.
The Best men gave a hilarious (long!) speech accompanied by video clips to embarrass Matt, they were merciless..but so funny!
The evening reception was downstairs in the Sheldrakes restaurant area, and was packed to the rafters – Adelle and Matt have a great crowd of friends to help them celebrate their Sheldrakes wedding. Much love and congratulation guys your day was amazing, a day of sunshine and beautiful freindships,. We are so happy you asked Pixsmiths to capture your memories. Enjoy x
Emotion by bride or groom is what we love to capture, I do believe Matt had a teas in his eyes when he saw his stunning bride!
