Belmonte Palazzo Engagement Shoot: Stephanie and Barry
Even before their wedding in gorgeous Santa Maria di Castellabate, Salerno, on the Cliento coast of Italy Barry and Stephanie fell in love with the area and for sure will be returning. We were staying in the wonderful Belmonte Palace – were Sandy had shot at last year on the Secret Retreat Italian wedding workshop. The Palace is so handy for the town centre with all its restaurants and also for the beach with its own private access.
So we showed our couple around and took the opportunity to get a few shots to get them used to being photographed on their wedding day just two days later. The grounds of the Belmonte Palace are a green oasis from the town and beach so provided a perfect contrast to their wedding images we would capture later on in the week. It also gave Stephanie and Barry a little breathing space from the family and friends staying with them in their villa…always good to have a little “us time”.
Enjoy a few of their images here..if you would like an engagement shoot whether locally or co-inciding with travels we’d love to hear from you.
Watch out for the blog post of their beach wedding at the Lido coming soon!
Black and Bling 50’s Marco’s New York Italian Wedding
When the wedding day pampering starts with Prosecco with 7 gorgeous fun-filled bridesmaids followed by more prosecco on a vintage Double Decker red bus you just know its going to be a good party vibe! ..and that’s just how the day unfolded for Jemma and Frankie, just as they wanted.
Bridal preps at Marco’s in Hoylake, party bus to which the girls and parents to St Georges Hall for the Liverpool ceremony, plus moi, photographer on board to help sing the songs and snap away! In one luxury limo, the men arrived to take the bride and groom back whilst all the guests returned to the Wirral on the bus = with more drinks flowing. A great laid-back reception ensued with canapes and speeches flowing into the evening do. Marco’s New York Italain venue in Hoylake, Wirral was the perfect choice for Jemma and Frankie’s black and bling decadent theme – the fabulous Vikki from Sapphire bespoke events dressed the room beautifully with those sparkly table linens for this theme.
DJ Frank Keating was a fab help, ensuring the proceedings went well and his MR and Mrs game was down a treat. Lively dancing on the floor before a sparkler end for us ..leaving the guests to dance the night away. Many congrats to Jemma and Franki, it was such fun capturing your day, thank you for such a privilege.
They so enjoyed their day, it was evident to see. and we hope you enjoy their blog post :-)
Lovely to see some familiar faces again – Kate and Adam, also a Pixsmiths couple – see you again in Italy!

What a wonderful spring wedding at Crabwall Manor for Tanya and Jonathan, blessed with dry weather when the rest of the week had been wet.
A family affair with Tanya and Jonathan’s daughter walking her down the aisle – oh how cute was that ! Tanya’s 3 sisters were bridesmaids and Jonathan’s brother as best man…in uniform too ladies! The staff at Crabwall are super organised – we saw their timeline of duties for everyone – and made the day go perfectly for this fun loving couple.
Evening entertainment with a photobooth kept kids and adults alike entertained! Congratulations to Tanya and Jonathan, wishing you much love and happiness xx
Relaxed bridal preps with hair and make up by Sharon of Ta-dah Hair and Make Up
Sharon was so calming and was even handy with a needle and thread for a minor running repair and also helped Tanya into her dress.
Always love a good confetti shots – and this was one was a veritable snowstorm!
Crabwall manor has undegone a refurb and the rooms are beautifully updated Tanya and Jonathan’s red colur scheme suited it to perfection
Ooh we just love loved-up couples and Paul and Bev are no exception, sizzling chemistry guys!
They were a dream to shoot on the Secret Retreat workshop – led by Claire Penn, Andrea Ellison and Lucy Woodrow.
Twinkle town Santa Maria di Castellabate and the Summer Palace (wedding) and the town’s Belmonte Palace were the perfect backdrops for these shoots. Enjoy!
How gorgeous was this shoot on a workshop, led by the fabulous Claire Penn, in Santa Maria di Castellabate during the Secret Retreat workshop
A loved up Italian couple, wow what chemistry Luigi and Antonia! …well they were married just a few days ago for real, it really shines through these images.
We were privileged to be given access to the normally off-limits summer palace and villa Sirena, by the island of Licosia, belonging to the Prince and Princess of Belmonte.
Antonia’s dress is a genuine vintage 1960s Mexican wedding dress purchased from Etsy, perfectly complemented by a feather headdress and feather details in her barefoot sandals.
Luigi or Lu as he is known is a local lead singer in a band. His styling was simple, his own clothes accessorised with a mustard bow tie, love those braces too!
The picture-perfect picnic by the sea was masterminded by the uber-talented Mandy Beck of Saddleworth Shindigs.
She has a wealth of goodies in her Aladdin’s cave treasure trove and squirreled some away for this shoot. The ceremony arbor hung in the trees was decorated with lace ribbons, feathers and hand made dreamcatchers. Mandy is so super talented.
A perfect laid back boho wedding elopement and picnic reception by the sea, doesn’t get more chilled out and idyllic than this!
An evening party ensued with good friends at the Azurro Lido on the beach, with music from Lu himself and lots of dancing…oh and fireworks on the beach, outstanding!
Hope you enjoy these images!

Elegant Black and White Festive Wedding at Plas Hafod
Our last wedding of 2015, and what a way to end a fantastic year with a Christmas wedding for Leanne and Scott, not quite the last day of the year but almost!
Scott and Leanne we had a fabulous day with you and overjoyed you had such a memorable day that we were privileged to capture for your memories.
Leanne and Scott are childhood sweethearts, the only ones for each other, how special and romantic is that!
Been together 10 years and now an elegant black and white festive wedding for them at the beautiful Plas Hafod country House Hotel sealed a perfect day.
Plas Hafod is a perfect winter wedding venue with its light airy conservatory room to make the most of winter light and also has ample room inside for group photos if needed.
This was the day of Storm Frank supposedly but it hardly bothered us, a little rain intermittently, but a breath of air for a few group shots and portraits was most refreshing.
Fantastic choice guys, hope you enjoy this little blog post of your highlights and wish you much continued happiness.
