Just over a week ago we had the pleasure of being the photographers at Michelle and Edd’s wedding.
Service was held at LLwynegrin Hall, Mold followed by reception at the newly re-branded Village Hotel, St David’s Park, Ewole.
For a February wedding we were blessed with dry weather and bright skies, although a little cold.
Michelle arrived in a cream Daimler, provided by Chester Wedding Cars, who have an extensive range of cars available.
Michelle looking stunning in her ivory Italian designer wedding dress, was inspired by our last wedding, which featured a dog bridesmaid, and chose to have her beloved Poppy to assist with the wedding rings. which Best Man, Michelle’s brother, was keeping safe in his sporan!
Originally booked for just a few hours, at a late booking back in January…but we ending staying til the evening party and we were glad we could capture the fun and entertainment provided by Nick, the best man, himself an accomplished entertainer and available as a wedding and event singer. Listening to him as I write this!
Michelle and Ed generously insisted that we not only stay for a meal but also to sit with their guests who in turn made us so welcome. So thank you Michelle and Edd and all your family and friends for giving us the pleasure of capturing and sharing your wedding. We wish you many more happy, blessed years together.
Below are a few favourite images and plenty more in Michelle and Edd’s on-line gallery. Michelle is a bit of a traditional girl at heart but I hope we also managed to capture other fun and informal shots too – some of which are for their eyes only 🙂
A pleasant Sunday stroll was taken around Liverpool’s Sefton Park (not so leafy this time of year) with spring bride and groom, Jenny and Graham. Bit on the cool side weather wise but hearts were warm and cheery and it was lovely walk and chat together, checking on plans for the upcoming wedding at Leasowe Castle. Jenny and Graham soon relaxed with us and I’m sure they enjoyed the pre-wed shoot as we did. Indeed there was a fair bit of kissing going on …no excuses needed of course 😉 but it was also Jenny’s birthday, so she was being extra spoilt! a photo with the Eros statue was very apt! We even timed it right to take some shots inside the beautiful Palm House – itself a unique venue for a wedding or reception. A Dixie Band concert had just finished as we approached so we were able to pop in and take some quick shots. Hope you enjoy the pics Jenny and Graham – just a few here but plenty more uploaded to your own gallery. Looking forward to the wedding too!
Been enjoying a quieter spell during the Christmas and New Year holidays, hope you all had fun with family and friends. Time for us to update the website – hope you like the new colours!
Also time to have a little get together with Mark and Heddus out in North Wales to do a little get to know you pre-wed meeting and get some images for the mini moo cards for their wedding in April 2011 at Rossett Hall Hotel
Glad to get a little bit of sunlight in an otherwise grey week and our advent Christmas tree got put to good use to display their wedding date!.
Hope you enjoy the pics Mark and Heddus and we look forward to your wedding in the New Year.
The Leverhulme Hotel is a unique boutique hotel set amongst the idyllic village of Portsunlight on the Wirral. Back in 2009 Pixsmiths shot a wedding here for an overseas couple. Now they should have been in the ballroom but since the hotel opened in 2008 it has been undergoing a series of transformation. It will be great, once its finally finished. Needless to say the promised ballroom for our couple was not quite ready which was a little disappointing for them. However they still had a great wedding in this beautiful art deco hotel and we really enjoyed the day with them.
One year on we were watching a wedding of a colleague at Portsunlight Christchurch, their reception was also at the Leverhulme and happily the ballroom was completed by then. Other work is still ongoing though, the garden area has been landscaped and a new gazebo had recently been installed, which when settled and the garden around it has matured, will add another useful photographic feature. A big improvement is the new road, owned by the Leverhulme which links to the rear entrance of the ballroom all the down to the back of Christchurch. Not only much easier for wedding cars to access the hotel this way but it connects the church and hotel so well it makes it easy for the bridal party to walk in fine weather. Keith and Lisa decided to do this, and Keith’s brother the morning of the wedding had linked the trees with ribbons and bows in the wedding colours to indicate the route – a brilliant idea!

Sean and Gemma received their wedding coffee table album yesterday. It was lovely to see the smiles on their faces as they looked through all the images in the book.
We love happy bride and grooms. Many thanks to Gemma and Sean for being such a great couple. x
Sandon Hall Wedding
The word joy summed up the order of the day for Stephen and Belinda. A beautiful country church wedding in Ashton by Stone – although we did think it was Dibley when we arrived as the soloist was singing “The Lord’s my shepherd” most exquisitely. Five beautiful bridesmaids and that included Daisy the dog, virtually inseparable from Belinda.
The months of preparation paid off with beautiful details, the grooms suit was chosen to match the cars and perfectly complemented the creams and blue of the bride and bridesmaids. A reception followed at the beautiful venue of Sandon Hall, Staffordshire, the gardens resplendent with autumn colours. Favours of Wedgewood china tea cups filled with roses typified the quintessential English country wedding they desired.
Steve and Belinda’s cake was also a marvel of detail – the cake topper was made in their likeness with Dr Steven checking her heart with his stethoscope, his little girl with Daisy dog, even Belinda’s cat was not missed out. We love to capture these detail shots, so much time and thought goes into them its good to be reminded of them in years to come.
It was a real pleasure to share their joy on this wonderful occasion and we wish them even more happiness to come, they deserve it. We hope we have captured the emotions for them with the many pictures we took.
