Wirral Engagement Shoot
A stroll around Royden Pak with Laura & Dan
We dodged the rain for this lovely Wirral engagement shoot with Laura and Dan. An hour before wet ..and later on in the evening it rained.
We had a perfect window of weather – not too hot/bright but fresh colours after the rain made it just right…plus very few people around so even better!
Lots of colour and features in the walled garden, The laburnum arch is almost ready, some good coverage for this shoot though, always a popular location.
Just a brief stop here as rangers were closing up early but still plenty of other areas in the park to explore. The heron on the mere even made an appearance for us!
Their daughter Rebecca is going to be a flower girl for their summer wedding next year. …they thought she might be shy and would be a good idea to bring her along to get to know us.
Well she was far from shy, a model in the making …almost stole the show! she Loved the camera and the camera her!
Laura and Dan were just so natural, and a treat for Dan’s birthday too. We really can’t wait for their wedding ..they are going to be a dream>
Its not til next summer but Laura and Dan have taken advantage of a weddign fayre special and have one of our fabulous weddign apps where guest can RSVP,
save the date to their calendars and see the schedule and locations for thee wedding. Their app has now been updated with highlights from this Wirral engagement shoot
Its a useful wedding app that will that will continue to be added too after the wedding and be a lovely digital keepsake of their wedding journey.
It was a fab session and so many images captured ..here just a few we hope you enjoy. All their engagement images will be provided with their wedding images on our prettily packaged USB
A Spring late afternoon just as Royden Park was quietening down was the perfect time for a stroll with Emily and Josh for their engagement shoot.
Royden Park is one of our favourite areas – it’s different throughout the seasons. Always something new to discover
We chatted about their wedding plans and captured some shots in between the giggles …there were quite a few giggles!
Rather than going around the mere they opted to go up to the heather fields on the way to Thurstaston – a walk that Emily and Josh are familiar with.
It always helps to be somewhere you are comfortable with and at ease. We discovered that Emily and Josh are friends with a previous Pixsmiths couple, Beccy and Rob who also had an engagement shoot at Royden Park
Emily and Josh were so relaxed and so into each other they were such a joy to photograph. They made it so easy for us to capture great natural images.
The yellow gorse provided a lovely splash of layering and colour to the spring greens and the old tower a romantic backdrop.
We know their wedding will be so much fun we really can’t wait!
You can see from these few images (all images will be on their wedding USB too) the joy and chemistry they have …sizzling!
These are just a few from their session!
We welcome any couple engaged or not to enjoy a relaxed couple shoot with us.
Our couples brochure gives you lots of useful hints and there is a link to get in touch to book your session with us
Ah we are planning out our engagement shoots for our 2017 Pixsmiths brides and grooms to be. So our first one of the year was a beach engagement session.
Here we are on Caldy Beach where Toby and Jennie love to walk their dogs . cue cuteness alert! Herbie and Oliver, may well be present at the wedding too!
Fortunately not too windy on the beach this January mid morning and not too busy on the beach
Dave had a great hour or so with the four of them!
here just a few of the pics taken to enjoy !
Adore these get-to-know-you-more sessions, Couples are way less apprehensive about their wedding day pictures after one of these sessions
Our couples see how relaxed and easygoing the engagement shoot is and come away with a beaming smile
You don’t have to be engaged to have such a shoot as this either, Any couple in love can apply!
We really enjoy these sessions so feel free to get in touch to book your session
Such a colourful fun affair for Sanaya and Satal and their friends and family at their Asian wedding party at Thornton Hall Hotel
A packed room to celebrate the upcoming wedding in the next couple of days (blog post to follow!)
Colourful bangles for the guests to go with all the myriad colours of the ladies saris.
Sanaya was presented with so many gifts in a special ceremony, involving rice, henna, bracelets and coconut amongst other items!
Good food to enjoy and then some unusual dancing! – I’ll let the pictures do the talking for that!
In all a splendid fun occasion, lots of laughter and joy and dancing to entertain everyone at this Asian wedding party.
A Sunday afternoon a month or so before their Chester Zoo wedding was a perfect time to catch up with Jenna and Johnny and do their engagement shoot.
Not many know that the Zoo can acomodate weddings – ceremonies and receptions.
One of the lovely things about Chester Zoo weddings is that the Zoo allow the couple to bring their photographers in to locate and discuss where they would like their shots taken.
Chester Zoo is so sprawled out now that it needs proper planning to prepare for the day”s events.
so that is just what we did we walked arounfd with Jenna and Johnny to scout out where they wanted their images after their ceremony at Oakfield Manor.
Then we made the most of the afternoon and spent some time have a drink, checking time schedules and going over to the new Island section -really loved it there so colourful and vibrant.
Taking engagement pictures at the Islands will provide a contrast to their wedding day images, as its unlikely we will get this far on the wedding day.
We were delighted to see so many animals out that were normally hiding or sleeping too and look forward to seeing more next month at their weddding and safari tour of Chester Zoo.
Quite appropriate to grab a shot, saying your Island Epedition is over ..but your journety continues! Well for Jenna and Johnny the journey continues next month!
Below just a few of the images that will be delivered with the wedding images. Hope you enjoy and check back for more next month!
Belmonte Palazzo Engagement Shoot: Stephanie and Barry
Even before their wedding in gorgeous Santa Maria di Castellabate, Salerno, on the Cliento coast of Italy Barry and Stephanie fell in love with the area and for sure will be returning. We were staying in the wonderful Belmonte Palace – were Sandy had shot at last year on the Secret Retreat Italian wedding workshop. The Palace is so handy for the town centre with all its restaurants and also for the beach with its own private access.
So we showed our couple around and took the opportunity to get a few shots to get them used to being photographed on their wedding day just two days later. The grounds of the Belmonte Palace are a green oasis from the town and beach so provided a perfect contrast to their wedding images we would capture later on in the week. It also gave Stephanie and Barry a little breathing space from the family and friends staying with them in their villa…always good to have a little “us time”.
Enjoy a few of their images here..if you would like an engagement shoot whether locally or co-inciding with travels we’d love to hear from you.
Watch out for the blog post of their beach wedding at the Lido coming soon!
