6 Intimate and Alternative Wirral Wedding Venues

6 Intimate and Alternative weddings

So from 4th July, we are allowed to have small weddings ..it’s a start!  Small, intimate alternative wedding venues have suddenly become popular!
Guess many will want to wait for the full-on wedding day celebration experience.
Some just want to get married with a few family in attendance and have the big party later – absolutely fine too.
Pixsmiths are happy to accommodate our couples’ wishes with various options – communication is the key to rearranging successfully
For now, however, small intimate weddings are where we are at  and Pixsmiths are looking forward to ours starting in August

Facebook pages have been awash with brides looking for small intimate/alternative venues, venues which many don’t know about or have thought about.
So with that in mind wanted to look at some local small intimate venues and alternative wedding venue options to consider.
Mere Brook House

and Peel Hey as two of our favorites have already been covered so this blog will look at other options less well known

#1 Pollards Inn

Tucked away in the beautiful Cheshire village of Willaston is the quaint Pollards Inn.
Not only a delightful place for a meal or a drink after a walk around the historic village but did you know there is  also an intimate function room at Pollard’s Inn
A cosy room with an ornate fireplace.  No room hire charge either, bonus!
You can enjoy the garden area outside in fine weather and children have their own adjacent play area too.
For when larger weddings are permitted a marquee can be used on the field just the other side of the play area and Pollards can provide the catering.
5 rooms have also recently been renovated too if guests wish to stay over.
Read all about how a wedding here look with the  Willaston Wedding of Phil and Stephanie.
They enjoyed a church service in the local church unique pictures at Hadlow Road and then their marquee reception.

#2 Poulton Hall

Could this be Wirral’s hidden gem?  Poulton Hall is a gorgeous 17th-century country house close to Bebbington. There are glorious unique walled gardens and sculptures, with 3.5 acres of picturesque wildflower meadows. perfect for your wedding photos.  The gardens are only open twice a year to the public – the two recent date in April this year had to be postponed, but keep a lookout for new dates
The gardens have themed areas – Japanese, nursery rhyme classical and a witch’s garden, and contain references to literary and children’s classics of C. S. Lewis, Lewis Carroll and Roger Lancelyn Green.
A wedding picture with Humpty Dumpty would certainly be unique!  if you are planning a wedding here we would love to be involved.
