Winter Wedding Shoot: Belle Epoque
Winter Wedding at Belle Epoque – Rocking the Rain
Winter weddings and dark venues provide their own unique challenges and we wanted to expand our skills with new lighting techniques and chance to try new things out.
We like to constantly update our skill sets and portfolio without experimenting on an actual wedding so Jonny Draper’s trainging session “Are you afraid of the Dark” was an ideal opportunity.
So a drizzzly Novemebr evening we found ourselves at the Belle Epoque in Knutsford, renowned for being a difficult dark venue.
We were thrilled to discover that Sarah Sadler and her finance Rich would be modelling for us and generally being the loved up couple they are! Sarah herself is a fabulous photographer, she does such amazing, makeover, empowering Red Shoe Shoots – you really need to check out her site, read her about page and read real women’s stories…..so the shoe was on the other foot (pardon the pun!) and Sarah and Rich were in front of the camera, feeling a bit nervous and vulnerable…but everyone soon put them at ease. They were great and with Jonny explaiining and showing his simple lighting set ups we got some great shots …we even rocked the rain! Check out these shots!
