Recently Fiona and Mike asked us to cover their Soughton Hall wedding photography and we were only too delighted!
It’s a stunning venue and one that Fiona as a makeup artist is familiar with.
Situated in Flintshire it’s a fabulous Georgian Country House Hotel, with exclusive use for weddings.
Surrounded by gardens and glorious countryside on the borders of Cheshire and North Wales – so plenty of scope for your wedding pictures.
Indeed Fiona chose this venue for its long drive and sweeping view up to the splendid house.
Soughton Hall Wedding Ceremony
Several options for wedding ceremonies at Soughton Hall – outside in the garden or indoor in the wonderfully elegant upstairs Blue Room
Fiona and Mike had their wedding ceremony in the Blue Room, which really suited their elegant style.
It was a gloriously warm day and lots of natural light coming through the long windows.
Guests were enjoying pre-ceremony drinks outside
Adore this moment of Fiona poised and serene, ready to enter the Blue Room to her waiting groom.
The lanterns lining the route belong to Soughton Hall and perfectly match its period setting.
A beautiful joyous ceremony with a harpist providing the music to walk into and out.
So many giggles and looks between Fiona and Mike.
Uniquely they said their vows simultaneously. The first time have come across this but so refreshing when couples put their own stamp on their day.

Soughton Hall Wedding Reception
Whilst the photos were being taken the room adjoining the Blue Room was set up for wedding breakfast,
No place names for Fiona and Mike as they opted to table hop between courses – what a great idea to chat with your guests this way.
Fiona had a special cake made for Mike, reflecting their boat which they enjoy sailing.
Short thanks on the stairs before guests entered and we left them to enjoy their meal.
