How wonderful to have a wedding in our own Church – I must admit had’t realised they were seeing each other so when they announced their engagement just after Christmas and announced a March wedding it came as a complete surprise and a very happy one too. It was important for Bex and Les to be maried here in the place where they worship and fellowship amongst their familes and friends.Indeed t was open invitation for their church family to celebrate their wedding with them at the exclusive Caldy Golf Club – someone was definitely looking down on them with favour to allow this as its normally reserved for members only. We all had a great time.
Bridal preps at home with Make up by the lovely Jessie Cambell was where we started our day. Bex was fashionably late and rushed down the aisle to her waiting Groom. Huge thanks to the Gospel Band who stepped in at the last weeek to sing at the wedding – they were fantastic and you can see by the joy on their faces what it meant to the couple …this was how they wanted their ceremony. More giggles and laughter as each had a struggle to fit the rings on fingers!
Onto the golf club for a few formal groups outside and then we had a drive in the golf buggies down to the cliff edge overlooking the Dee Estuary for some portraits – anothe higlight of the day for Bex and Les.
Special thanks to John the co-ordinator for arranging this and for his help and friendliness throughout the evening too.
A delicious buffet meal and speeches ensued, followed by cake cut and dancing. A really memorable day for this couple and the joining of their two young families.
Many more blesssings to you both love Sandy and Dave xx here some highlights of the day.
