An autumnal day for Cathryn and Jarrod’s long awaited wedding day at the Ellesmere Port Holiday Inn – one of Pixsmiths favourite venues for a Cheshire wedding. – a quirky setting by the Boat Museum with its colourful barges and inquisitive swans. Previously we had got to know Cathryn and Jarrod better with a pre wedding shoot in historic Hawarden and we looked forward to their Cheshire wedding.
A fun filled day ensued: Blue skies outside whilst Cathryn and her bridsemaids and cutest of flower girls were getting ready in the accomodating bridal suite where we started our day getting a few details and getting ready shots and then onto some images of Jarrrod and his groomsmen before the ceremony.
The Mercer suite was beautifully dressed by Covers and Bows – the rose petals and candles on the aisls were a classy touch as Cathryn and Jarrod exchanged thier vows and rings with each other.
Cathryn’s cousin sang a beautiful rendition of the classic “Songbird” during the signing of the registers – so good that some thought it was a CD at first!
Bit of rain during the ceremony but stopped in time for us afterwards to get some formal and portraits before the reception.
Lots of giggles and laughter during the speeches – Alun the best man was very entertaining (you can read his speech if you wish) and which culminated with a generation game conveyor belt memory test for Jarrod – think he got them all including the cuddly toy – didn’t he do well!
During the evening celebrations good use was made of our fun frame and prop – “comedy gold” as quoted by Cathryn with her mum and auntie joining in !
Great to to see some entertaining moves on the dance floor too.
Cathryn was well organised and the day went really smoothly. She did her own make up as Cathryn and her sister are joining forces for their own make up business
A great team of suppliers also helped make this a memorable day and they must also be mentioned and thanked (Cathryn kindly did this on Facebook which helped my memory!)
