I confess I gave a big whoop of delight when I saw Chellsi post on facebook her engagement to David ..and an even bigger one when they contacted Wirral Wedding Photographers Pixsmiths to cover their wedding this coming October.
We had previously met Chellsi & David at other weddings – Anna & Simon, where she was bridesmaid and Jemma & Frankie’s wedding. She has an infectious laugh and a warm heart. This was supposed to be a beach sunset shoot but hey with our British weather we live to be flexible and have a plan B! So we ended up in Aston Park and it turned out really well! I think Chellsi and David enjoyed their stroll around Ashton Park with us …as did their dog Toby. he definitely didn’t want to be left out! Such a great couple and really looking forward to their autumn wedding at one of our favourite venues Inglewood Manor.
A Divine Appointment for Brian and Natalie at Hadlow Road
Tonight we had an engagement session booked at Hadlow Road Station with Brian and Natalie. A place special to them. …it was forecast severe weather, winds and rain 🙁 We really need to get some shots as its not too long to the wedding and they are having one of our beautiful guest books made from their images Plus for personal reasons its important for Natalie to see these images sooner rather than later and the reason for this super fast blog post. We needed a miracle…a friend prayed…..
…we found a dryish area under a tree, knowing the ticket office closes at 5pm normally..and we arrived at 6pm I checked on the offchance it was open…the park warden was (somehow !) 90 minutes late in closing up…our blessing! Not only that but she invited us into the actual office, usually viewed from behind the screen to take some pictures. Plus the old £1 notes made for an unusual pixsmiths signature ring shot.
Thank you Brain and Natalie for sticking with the plan. We will get some more pictures outside in better conditions but are happy with what we managed tonight in half an hour or so already x
Well autumn has flown by the trees have shed their leaves and Christmas is almost upon us. Still have weddings from 2014 to share but first an engagement shoot with Ben and Steph. Ben is the twin brother of Mylie whose wedding we covered previously and having seen us in action whilst a bridesmaid for Mylie, Steph knew she wanted us for her wedding too.
So just before autumn turned to winter we had a little outing to Royden Park with Ben and Steph for their pre-wedding session. It was a relaxing stroll around the walled garden and mere making them feel at ease in front of a camera, giving a few posing suggestions. Nothing too posed, they were both so natural anyway, we know they both really appreciated it and now they have some great photos of themselves too. Oh and thank you Mylie for Steph’s make up .
Always good contrast for a Spring wedding to have engagement pics taken in autumn. Looking forward to their big day in April 2015 at Inglewood Manor.
We love our pre wed shoots with our couples and last Saturday was no exception …
it was supposed to be a wet grey miserable day, but it wasn’t :-)…well not until we were done and having a coffee in the cafe.
This couple – Jeanette and Michael – deserve to have sunshine and good things happening to them, they have been through some tough scary times. with their family.
Like most couples they said they felt nervous and unsure what to expect , not really camera people… …but no worries and within 2 minutes we were completely relaxed with each other and I hope you agree Pixsmiths got some lovely natural together shots for them.
Here we are at Thurstaston Country Park – a place which has lots of memories for them – enjoy!
Looking forward to their wedding in Liverpool now in the summer even more.
Oh and couldn’t resist this image of their special “li man” tucking into his ice-cream 😉
