Micro Wedding Wirral Town Hall

Micro Wedding Wirral Town Hall

Historic Wirral Micro Wedding Birkenhead Town Hall

So out of the blue, we found ourselves back at Birkenhead Town Hall for another Wirral Micro wedding.
A text from a photography colleague feeling unwell and within hours we had stepped in to help.
It’s good to have a trusted network around you – we all need help at some time or other – and of course, brides are not left worrying about their wedding photography.

Home Bridal Preps

So a phone call to Ashleigh the night before to put her at ease and we were set.
It was so good to be shooting bridal preps again!
On arrival, Ashleigh commented how she had checked our site and recognized us from a Chester autumn wedding, and knew she was in excellent hands

We mingled till it was time to head off for the ceremony.
Dave had gone ahead and Sandy with the girls in their minivan transport.  Flexibility with Pixsmiths!

On arrival, it was a quick first look for Ashleigh and Keith before they headed in for their ceremony at Birkenhead Town Hall
Yes masks still have to be worn inside for guests but not the couple – was nice to see colour co-ordinated ones
Once outside though not a problem

Wirral Micro Wedding Ceremony

All smiles as Ashleigh was proudly walked down the aisle by her mother to a waiting Keith.
Vows were made and rings exchanged
Oh and this was the last time marriage registers were signed before the new digital system.
In the future, a wedding schedule will be signed, so still, something to sign for those who miss this type of shot

Birkenhead Town Hall has beautiful stained glass windows if you know where to find them.  Makes for an intimate beautiful portrait with natural light flooding through.
Soon it was outside to the bright sun and for a few family groups and portraits before heading back for a private outdoor home pizza reception

Always time for candid moments when you have two shooters with Pixsmiths at Micro weddings

We wish you much happiness xx

Surprise Claremont Farm Wedding

Town & Country Surprise wedding

Well, what a joyous day for Helen & Steve for their surprise Claremont Farm wedding!
Their friends and family were primed to meet at Claremont Farm for a day of activities for Helen’s special birthday.

Two vintage red buses greeted the guests with birthday specials on the front.
Well these drink laden party buses were there to take everyone to Liverpool for Helen and Steve’s wedding
Even Sisters, mum, and dads had been kept in the dark about the day’s plans.

The looks of surprise and joy on people’s faces were really special to witness.
A first look for Steve and Helen and then a group shot with the buses and time to get going to Liverpool
Helen was wearing a beautiful beaded champagne coloured dress.

This was a day of making memories, and that is exactly what they did.
A blustery wind in town but at least it stayed dry, everyone was in good spirits.
Helen and Steve entered the Grand Jury room together  to cheers with the Star Wars theme- such a joyous entrance
With the cold weather, we opted for a group shot in the courtroom

Afterward, a few groups and confetti and then back to the bus to continue the party!

Claremont Farm has an amazing deli and coffee shop.  The room upstairs was used for the reception and how lovely and informal it was
The food was so tasty, really need to come back for lunch here. Warming bowls of scouse or curry went down a storm for the guests. Perfect for a chilly day.

Bride at Claremont Farm for evening reception

Heartwarming speeches were made, Helen got emotional over the loss of family members, wondering how she could stand on her wedding day without them
..but how much worse would it be without her mum and dad.  It was time to get wed and make memories
…and make memories they certainly did.   Love ladders with pictures of loved ones not able to be present were a touching way to include them
No birthday cards or presents were required just for guests to enjoy themselves

A local band had everyone on their feet dancing the night away. ProBooth were also on hand with a selfie mirror to entertain the guests
They were so popular with lots of fun poses to create these memories.
Double  cake delight – one for Helen’s 50th  decorated with animals and a wedding one with a New York City towers on it
..a reminder of where Steve surprised Helen with a proposal on top of the Rock …presenting a rock!

No wonder food is fabulous – heard that head chef runs a good ship and has a fabulous cv to Michelin star level …and fortunately for us love the Wirral.

Wishing you many more years of happy memories, Steve and Helen.  Thank you so much for the privilege of sharing your day.
So much fun and we loved capturing the story of your Surprise Claremont Farm wedding day.

Are you planning a day that is a bit different …we loved to hear about your plans.  Please get in touch

First Look at a Festive Winter Wedding Inglewood Manor

Non Traditional Festive Winter Inglewood Manor Wedding Photography

Oh such a festive winter wedding at Inglewood Manor, The rooms beautifully decked and adorned with garlands and several Christmas trees.
So many gorgeous details. The snow cake with penguins and polar bear and topped with a gingerbread house.  Really fitting for the festive theme.
Oh and our couple were blooming amazing too, totally non-traditional enjoying a first look before the ceremony and then walking down the aisle together.

Inglewood Manor Wedding First Look

It was such a lovely moment to capture and see their reactions when David turned around and saw Penny for the first time in her shimmering Monsoon wedding dress
Penny had cleverly accessorised the back of her dress herself with a string of pearls.  The dress was  stunning and so fitting for Penny
So relaxed with each other, it was a delight to see and we loved their many giggles!

Inglewood Manor Wedding Portraits

We took advantage of the light before the ceremony seeing as it was a late ceremony and would be dark afterwards being a Winter Inglewood Wedding
Inglewood has so many areas to take portraits we could avoid being overlooked by guests arriving for the wedding ceremony.

We left them to have a few moments alone before the registrars cam to check their details before the wedding ceremony
Guests meanwhile had been gathering and enjoying canapes and then entered the Executive Suite (the oak panelled room)
Parents and Groomsmen, Bridesmaids and flower girl and page boy entered first before Penny and David finally entered, walking in together and looking so radiant
The Bridesmaids carrying lanterns which really fitted the Christmas theme.
A beautiful intimate family wedding, vows made and then what a kiss!  \Soon time for the happy couple to exit for their mulled wine toast

Inglewood Manor Wedding Reception

There were a few groups but with plenty of time set aside and great cooperation, they were soon done.  Family pictures are so important, especially when families had travelled far and wide, many from New Zealand to be her for Penny and David. The staircase is a lovely option for photos for small groups but for larger ones we used the side room with its beautiful Christmas tree and whitish walls.

There was  plenty of time to mingle before the guests moved down to the Burton Suite so festively set up for the wedding breakfast and not just with the Christmas decorations
The table centrepieces were cute miniature winter scenes in fish bowls, all carefully painted by Penny herself – how creative!

Christmas wedding Inglewood Manor

There were several speeches – Father of Bride, Mother of Groom, Groom, Bestman and Bride’s sister! we love to capture the emotion and reactions during these.
Plenty of emotion, laughter and toasts to enjoy. The speeches were before the meal and afterwards, we left the party to enjoy their food and to continue the celebrations into the evening.
This was one of our short coverage twilight weddings and shows just how much can be captured in a few hours if you don’t require your photographers all day.

Of course, we took a couple of signature ring shots that we love to do – the bar in the Burton Suite made for a fab reflection and colour for the rings – how unusual are they!

Many congratulations David and Penny – it’s evident to see how much you enjoyed your day.  Thank you for doing things your way and for asking us to capture the most important parts for you.
Wishing you many years of happiness and health, love Sandy & Dave
