Willaston Wedding Photography

Willaston is a beautiful Cheshire village, renowned for its historic buildings and award-winning best-kept village so we were delighted when Phil and Stephanie asked us to cover their Willaston Wedding Photography.   They met at Cambridge University where they were attracted to each other in the Chemistry lab – so true chemistry for these two!  Their relationship was long distance at times with Steph doing her best to follow wherever he had jobs.  When they got a cat together they knew it was serious!

The whole day was local in Willaston and was a relaxed day even with an early start for the 11am ceremony at Christchurch in Willaston.  Then across the road to Pollards Inn with a marque set up for the day’s reception and evening fun

First though bridal preps for Steph at their gorgeous home on Hadlow Road – wee a very local Willaston Wedding Photography day!
Steph and her bridesmaids were pampered by award winning Cathryn Kerwin Rawlinson MUA and hair by Carol Ellis.  Stephanie and her dressmaker mum had spend many evenings making her own wedding dress – what a labour of love!  The plaque all you need is love and a cat made a perfect pic for Steph’s engagement ring picture.  The bridesnmaids dresses were hung on the prized  rowing oar that Phil proudly displays – a trophy from his Uni days.  These oars can only be purchased when you have beaten a rower 4 times in a row.  Always love to incorporate personal mementos when doing bridal preps at home

Soon it was time to capture some men shots at the church whilst Step finalised her getting ready before making the short drive to her waiting groom.
ah, the looks they were giving each other melted our hearts!

Out to the noonday sun for some family formals and candids.

Phil was given the keys to his new father in law’s jag and he carefully took his new bride for a spin in it before heading to the restored train station at Hadlow Road for some gorgeous newly married images.  Wherever they may move to in the future these images will be a constant reminder of where they loved and married.

Reception at Pollards Marquee

The marquee was provided by the newly named Astra Marquees and Phil and Steph said how amazing the company had been advising them and suggesting useful additions.  it was perfect for their situation …a good field area fenced off so kids were safe to play the garden games
, of course, the food was amazing  and staff were friendly- we really must go back to Pollards for a meal too.  The chocolate pudding was a firm favourite of our couple and we can see and taste why!  The speeches were so entertaining warm, humorous  and sincere.  Some of the best we have heard.
Plenty of homemade cakes to enjoy  Fab touch with a laboratory book for their guest book – a novel and personal touch

Our couple were up for a few more pics around the village before heading back for dancing to a caylleigh band _ Two Left feet.
So much fun with everyone getting involved

Breaking with tradition they cut a pork pie cake!

A wonderful wedding day in Willaston and we wish Phil and Steph much happiness and health love Sandy & Dave

A Divine Appointment for Brian and Natalie at Hadlow Road

Tonight we had an engagement session booked at Hadlow Road Station with Brian and Natalie.
A place special to them.
…it was forecast severe weather, winds and rain 🙁
We really need to get some shots as its not too long to the wedding and they are having one of our beautiful guest books made from their images
Plus for personal reasons its important for Natalie to see these images sooner rather than later and the reason for this super fast blog post.
We needed a miracle…a friend prayed…..

…we found a dryish area under a tree, knowing the ticket office closes at 5pm normally..and we arrived at 6pm
I checked on the offchance it was open…the park warden was (somehow !) 90 minutes late in closing up…our blessing!
Not only that but she invited us into the actual office, usually viewed from behind the screen to take some pictures.
Plus the old £1 notes made for an unusual pixsmiths signature ring shot.

Thank you Brain and Natalie for sticking with the plan.
We will get some more pictures outside in better conditions but are happy with what we managed tonight in half an hour or so already x

Hadlow Road Station : Engagement Session

Well its the begining of wedding season…and we have many gorgeous weddings to look forward to in 2015  …including Angela and Sean’s day at Hinderton Hall.
They have lots of amazing things lined up to clebrate their day …more of that in due time.

We caught up with all their plans during their pre wedding session at the historic Hadlow Road Sation in Willaston.
It was a little damp but the rain stopped long enough for us to get some shots…apparently Sean has a thing about telephone boxes so we made use of the one here

…there is another at Hinderton Hall too!

A lovely catch up session and I know Angela and Sean are looking forward to their day and feel more relaxed about their photography now.
They like the more natural candid shots, capturing the moments of the day, which is just our style!

For now enjoy a few of their pics 🙂
