Lots of fun and laughter at the wedding of Emma and Andy on the last day of August.
Emma, very much an organised bride, started the day getting ready with her bridesmaids in the Bridal Mews cottage at Thornton Manor – a beautiful place and an idyllic retreat for the newly weds first night. We took some pictures of the girls getting ready with Emma herself sorting their make-up and took some details – including the gorgeous pearl and brooch bouquets – stunning creations and quite heavy!
Meanwhile the groom and lots of men in kilts were descending upon Heswall United Reformed Church (lovely big grounds behind for photos)
Reception followed in a marquee at a relative’s home where guests enjoyed a hog roast buffet and cakes – absolutely scrumptious and totally in setting for such a wedding.
The gardens were beautiful and a lovely setting for some formal and informal pictures – glad we had some sunshine, although it did get cool late afternoon.
The water lilies apparently only flower one every 2 years – they made a timely appearance!
Very relaxed and all about family and friends having a good time, celebrating a wonderful day of a great couple.
oh and by the way one of Emma and Andy’s signature shots is to pull tongues and of course the welsh dragon mascot had to be included too
We ended our coverage with the speeches and cake cut – always great for emotional shots, of tears ad laughter, love them!
