Quirky Oddfellows Chester Wedding: Mel & David
Quirky Chester Oddfellows Wedding Photography
Micro Wedding Photography at Oddfellows Chester Wedding Venue
We so enjoyed Mel and David’s quirky Oddfellows Chester wedding photography, despite its many modifications during this crazy year.
Originally a May wedding they pushed back to September 28th. Until the last few they thought they could have 30 guests
but new rules …yes starting from their new wedding date. ………meant just 15 guests…and stress!
It was touch and go with confusion re suppliers being included or not whether we could photograph this wedding.
Thankfully cleared just in time – we checked with the venue and they were fully up to speed that suppliers did not count in the 15.
So happy Mel and David went ahead with their day. It was a relaxed afternoon, a beautiful ceremony at Oddfellows Chester.
Oddfellows is a boutique hotel in the city centre of Chester. It has really quirky decor and a cute secret garden area and terrace upstairs.
so many areas for alternative images. Go check it out with an afternoon tea here, you won’t be disappointed.
Melanie arrived in an absolutely gorgeous cream lace bodice dress with a flowing pink mid-calf skirt.
The outfit was exquisitely teamed with a birdcage fascinator and turquoise and pink irregular choice shoes – quirky shoes for a quirky venue!
Mel you looked absolutely stunning …and you surprised us how quick you could walk in your heels!
The ceremony was followed by congratulations, some quick portraits in the secret garden and then it was a stroll down to the river
A 30-minute boat cruise the Dee on the Chester Boat Mark Twain made for an alternative post-ceremony activity.
The prosecco was flowing and informal groups taken during the cruise. So much fun.
Back to Oddfellows for a small reception and cake. The cake was of course topped with Mel and Dave minions – very fitting and cute.
Thank you Mel and David for preserving with your day, we loved seeing and capturing the joy and giggles from the day.
Nothing was going to stand in your way and stop you from marrying and it was obvious your guests had a great time with you.
It was a privilege to capture the fun and we wish you much-continued happiness xx
To anyone considering a micro wedding – don’t think of it as restricted but a time when you can really engage with those nearest and dearest with you.
More purpose and meaningful – think outside the box and make it work for your day.
