Wintry Wirral Country Park Engagement Shoot: Claire and Nathan
Delighted Claire and Nathan chose to have a Wirral country park engagement Shoot with Pixsmiths. Claire and Nathan are having a spring wedding in May so always a good idea to have a an engagement shoot in a different season. In fact Claire and Nathan’s wedding will be the alternative to the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan! Whilst the Royals are saying their vows at Windsor our couple will be enjoying a garden party at Ness Gardens
For their Wirral country park engagement shoot Walter their one year old dog came along – how gorgeous is he with his silky floppy ears. He almost stole the show! We managed to dodge the heavy rain showers that happened during the morning, which did make the ground a bit muddy! Claire and Nathan were well prepared for this by wearing wellies. Didn’t stop muddy paws jumping up on jeans though! Fortunately wipes at the ready! We did have some sleet/hail flurries but plenty of trees to shelter from a bit in Royden Park The walled garden provided a bit more shelter from wind too. Always a favourite place to shoot whatever season ..always something different. This time we were blessed with a carpet of snowdrops in the woodland area towards the back of the walled garden.
Thank you Claire and Nathan for braving the elements, really happy with your images and know you love them too. here a few highlights for you to enjoy. Love Sandy & Dave
Their images will be beautifully used in their personalised guest signing book. Want to know more about our our couple shoots then check out this couple shoot brochure for some useful tips or fill out the contact form below for more info or to book a couple session
We had been looking forward to shooting a city centre pre wedding shoot for a while – makes a change from parks and beaches where we normally shoot. We had scoped out Liverpool city centre for an engagement shoot. So when Stephanie and Laurence said they wanted a city centre shoot we jumped at the opportunity! They are having a December wedding at the Shankly Hotel in Liverpool – and normally we would suggest something different from the wedding day for the shoot as a contrast …but this time we resisted saying this wanted to do this shoot in Liverpool! Stephanie and Laurence spend a lot of time in Liverpool so they felt comfortable here in familiar surroundings – something we always suggest to our couples if choosing a location for their pre wedding shoot
Now Stephanie had said Laurence was a bit shy, but honestly you wouldn’t know it. We just tell our couples not to worry about us and staring down the camera, just be yourselves. That’s exactly what Stephanie and Laurence did. We also got to enjoy cake and tea whilst we chatted through the timeline for the upcoming wedding day. We always enjoy our pre wedding shoots and judging from these images you can see how Stephanie and Laurence enjoyed their time too with us. They were naturals and were so at ease with each other and us it truly was a joy. Such chemistry, they could melt ice-bergs! Thank you for picking Liverpool for your session. So many places we could have chosen but we enjoyed some of the less obvious ones. Enjoy these few highlights below. All images are available on-line and will be provided with wedding images on their USB
This is what Stephanie said about their experience of the shoot “After putting it off for months and months we finally had our engagement/pre wedding photographs taken. This is a service offered by our photographers Pixsmiths Creative Photography that we would never EVER have thought to have done. We don’t really like having our photograph taken nor do we like being centre of attention. We thought we’d be really awkward and were dreading it to be honest. Brides to be, if I can give you one piece of advice that I’ve picked up from planning my own wedding it is this – if you are nervous and a bit shy about having your wedding photographs have one of these shoots. Dave and Sandy were amazing and we know this will save us so much time and worry on the day as we feel so relaxed with our photographers. ”
I confess I gave a big whoop of delight when I saw Chellsi post on facebook her engagement to David ..and an even bigger one when they contacted Wirral Wedding Photographers Pixsmiths to cover their wedding this coming October.
We had previously met Chellsi & David at other weddings – Anna & Simon, where she was bridesmaid and Jemma & Frankie’s wedding. She has an infectious laugh and a warm heart. This was supposed to be a beach sunset shoot but hey with our British weather we live to be flexible and have a plan B! So we ended up in Aston Park and it turned out really well! I think Chellsi and David enjoyed their stroll around Ashton Park with us …as did their dog Toby. he definitely didn’t want to be left out! Such a great couple and really looking forward to their autumn wedding at one of our favourite venues Inglewood Manor.
Back at Royden Park for another engagement shoot – this time with Danielle and Dennis We never tire of visiting here, always something new to discover, new options for pics> What a sunny-natured couple – their joy was so evident. plus Danielle picked the perfect outfit for the shoot she loves the colour yellow – brings so much sunshine and fun
Danielle and Dennis had never been to the walled garden at Royden Park or the little nearby mere Royden Park is run by the local council and has a handy cafe in the coach house courtyard run by volunteers too. More information on the Park here They were enthralled with the location and the floral beauty. Even more so when they saw the Laburnum arch – almost in full bloom – well a match made in heaven!
We met one of the rangers just beforehand who gave us updates on the garden – nearly time for poppies to bloom. Also the kestrel is still residing in the old tower and is currently sitting on 5 eggs. If you go in to the coach house – just by the Barking mad cafe there are monitors in there so they can check for the new hatchlings. Must go again soon!
For now enjoy a few of the images from the session. Dennis will be marrying his beautiful Brazilian bride in October this year and we can;t wait for another day capturing their happy smiles
We blooming love Burton Manor engagement shoots! So happy that there is a team of volunteers to look after the gardens and that it i funded byt the heritage lottery fund. How cute and relaxed do Alex and Natasha look in these images We are so glad they found some time to have an engagement shot with us and we know they feel so much more confident and prepared for their wedding day soon!
Even though we have been here a few times already we keep discovering new areas and each time diffident colours different blossoms with the seasons. This time we had to make use of the bluebells near the orchard We were spoilt for choice again for locations in the garden and for different ring shots!
Their May wedding is packed with amazing suppliers going to be a fantastic day and we simply cannot wait to get more images of this lovely couple.
Ah we are planning out our engagement shoots for our 2017 Pixsmiths brides and grooms to be. So our first one of the year was a beach engagement session. Here we are on Caldy Beach where Toby and Jennie love to walk their dogs . cue cuteness alert! Herbie and Oliver, may well be present at the wedding too!
Fortunately not too windy on the beach this January mid morning and not too busy on the beach Dave had a great hour or so with the four of them! here just a few of the pics taken to enjoy !
