Stunning Relaxed Elegant Mere Brook House Wedding
So In between our June destination weddings, we had the joy of capturing this elegant yet relaxed Mere Brook House wedding for Julie ad Peter.
How gorgeous has the weather been this month! Perfect for a summer wedding at Mere Brook House.
Mere Brook House is a gorgeous welcoming Edwardian Country House, It’s a 5-star Gold Bed and Breakfast venue on the Wirral that also hosts many events and conferences.
It has an idyllic setting for an intimate wedding with its beautiful 4 acres of gardens and brook – hence its name!
Renowned for its plentiful home-cooked food with tasty ingredients locally sourced and many from their own vegetable garden.
It was the perfect venue choice for Peter and Julie to marry and celebrate their day with family and friends.
The venue was full of family and friends and the decor was elegant, beautiful flowers in little cut glass flowers adorned the tables in the dining room and conservatory areas.
Flowers were by Nicola florist Flowers Oxton, just gorgeous Nicola.
Julie was getting ready at home with her bridesmaid and son (there are options to stay over and get ready here if wished though)
Meantime guests gathered and enjoyed the sunshine with their drinks outside at Mere Brook House.
The bridesmaids certainly enjoyed being outside and had a few twirls in their beautiful dresses and a swing
In all the business Julie inadvertently left her bridal bouquet at home so improvised by borrowing her mum’s gift bouquet to walk down the aisle – hence Peter’s expression!
The kind staff of Mere Brook kindly went to her home and fetched the bouquet to the venue – super customer service from Lorna!
A beautiful ceremony, a cute ring bearer, and bridesmaids, and then back out to the sunshine whilst the tables were set up.
Before the group formals, Julie had a wonderful surprise from Peter with her new horse (an important family member after all) being brought up to the venue
It made for some lovely shots with Julie and she was so pleased to see him. Julie was also carrying a decorated horseshoe as a memento of her previous horse
– such a thoughtful touch from her sister who had carried it at her wedding also.
Time then for a few minutes to let Peter and Julie have a few mins together and capture a few relaxed shots as they strolled in the gardens
So the feast to come before the speeches! We had recently been to an event – the pudding extravaganza (suited Sandy perfectly!) so knew guests were in for a treat
In true Mere Brook House style guests go through the large country kitchen to be served their delicious food from a fantastic team of chefs
Photographers are always welcome to sample the food too from Mere Brook House, thank you for looking after us!
Entertaining speeches from several guests and then time for dessert. We left our couple to enjoy the evening celebrations, sure it was a wonderful relaxed time.
