A long-awaited Doubletree Hilton Chester wedding of Abbie and Scott for Pixsmiths just last month. When your sister is sparkly queen Vikki of Wirral Weddings and a much sought after venue dresser – Sapphire Bespoke Events – you know the venue will look amazing. She certainly didn’t disappoint. The staff at Doubletree Hilton also remarked how fabulous it looked. The changes for the ceremony, the wedding breakfast and the evening were perfectly co-ordinated.
Not only dressed the venue – and matched the décor with her bridesmaid’s dress but being in the wedding industry knew the right suppliers for her sister. Pixsmiths were honoured to be asked along with all the other amazing suppliers who contributed to this wonderful wedding day. Unbeknownst to Abbie, Scott had been poorly in hospital early hours of the morning. Being so unselfish though he didn’t want to worry his bride. When we found out we just said, take things at your own pace, rest if necessary. We always let our couple drive the day and not us. You really wouldn’t know it from the pics though the story behind the day. Abbie and Scott, you just beamed all day xx Enjoy your highlights x
Proud dad was bowled over by how gorgeous and radiant Abbie looked in her gown by Opulence. (sadly now closed)
Likewise, the bridesmaids and flower girl were equally impressed. Soon it was time to head down for the ceremony to a waiting Scott.
Beautiful ceremony, accompanied by classy violin playing from Vioinaround
We did have a bit of a downpour but Doubletree Hilton Chester has good options for groups indoors in its light and airy conservatory. The boardwalk by the lake and the fountain was far too slippery to risk walking on. However, we did have a tiny window of dry weather and some blue skies so we grabbed a few outdoor portraits and you can see how happy Abbie and Scott were. Plus the rain provided puddles for reflections!
How stunning does this room look, the huge trees, flower arches and candles …more candles Vikki kept saying, when checking the venue dressing – created an amazing atmosphere The burgundy colour scheme and sparkly golden tablecloths created such a warm cosy feel. A perfect setting for the wedding breakfast
Abbie and Scott are both gingers, so gingerbread was an appropriate wedding favour The wooden cutouts for guests names worked so well too
Impressive cake by Kingfisher cakes
Time before the evening party kicked off to have a quiet moment in a cool area of Doubletree Hilton
Great Dj and music from Rock Revolution to keep the guests entertained Abbie changed into another sparkly for dancing in after the first dance and for enjoying a sparkler sendoff.
Thank you Abbie and Scott for the pleasure of covering your day. Wishing you every future happiness and look forward to the next chapter of your lives. Love Sandy & Dave xx Big shout out to all the amazing suppliers too who made this such a memorable treasured day for you.

Leverhulme Hotel Wedding Photography: Sarah & Chris
Sarah and Chris had a fabulous day for their summer Leverhulme Hotel Wedding . Been so looking forward to sharing this post after their honeymoon. More importantly Sarah and Chris had looked forward to this day they had planned so well. Sarah & Chris have been together for 10 years and had put much love and thought into this day.
We love all the details and candid shots as well as some fun groups. We had the cutest flower girl and page boy! A beautiful gift of a memory box, lovingly put together by her bridesmaids – with envelopes to be opened at certain times/years from the wedding We dodged the rain, getting back from the portraits at the Dell just in time…and then it cleared again after speeches – just perfect for some evening shots
So many fab suppliers on hand too, we knew it would be a fab day. Bespoke Brides Ltd for Sarah’s gorgeous dress Emma Lampkin of Emmaculate hair & makeup Lovely also to work with Sapphire Bespoke Events – who had the ceremony and reception at its sparkly best and adorned with glorious flowers from Lyndaflora The stationery from Elizabeth-Rose Designs Wirral matching the sparkly detail so well Pixel Booth provided fun for the evening and guests enjoyed the piano playing and later lve band of Rock Revolution Great to work with Madison Picture too – check out their highlight video Loved the big heart drop frame – of course someone had to write, “One Chris is all it takes” ..seemed to be song of the day!
Many congratulations guys, such an amazing day for you with your friends and family. We are so privileged to share and capture your day. Wishing you many more years of happiness. Enjoy your highlights and we look forward to making your keepsake album
This is it, this is the moment! time to get married!
ah a little moisture in his eye as Sarah comes down the aisle!
Happy to be back at Hamilton Square for the Birkenhead Town Hall wedding of Laura and Bill Not that long since we had another Town Hall Wedding ..well virtually an elopement
…but back to this weddign with the lovely Laura and Bill Ah all those looks between them, the way Bill held Laura’s hand …such love and devotion was so evident they adore each other Truly a touching ceremony, Laura is a little shy but so endearing So glad that Pixsmiths could capture these moments for them in a relaxed way that put them at ease
An overcast day but kept dry for the few formal groups needed The reception was at The Manor Restaurant in Greasby, Wirral – a really excellent restaurant with a separate function suite suitable for small Wirral Weddings Its an elegant converted 17th century Manor House and we love to eat at this restaurant ourselves for special occasions, food is always delicious Although only a small are the surrounding garden and courtyard can be used for some lovely wedding portraits
We were fortunate to have some extra time at the Manor whilst the room was being prepared to get some extra portraits which went down really well. Many congratulations Laura and Bill, it was a joy to capture these moments and we wish you much love and happiness
Birkenhead Town Hall weddings are extremely popular, especially on a Friday as they always take place in the beautiful upper room, gorgeous with its decor and stained glass. Currently weddings can be 30 minutes apart although this will soon be extended. This is why its so important being on time – Laura and Bill where. Lateness can impact on your timings for photos on stirs etc..with other weddings crossing over so please be aware of this. if you need a photographer for your Birkenhead Town Hall wedding, even if just to capture ceremony and a few photos after then click the link we’d love to hear from you and see how we can help
