Intimate St Georges Hall Wedding Ashleigh & Andy Married
Some of our couples opt for an Intimate Liverpool wedding. Those who don’t want a big fuss or don’t like being the centre of attention. We are happy to cover such weddings and offer bespoke special deals.
We met for an informal chat and right away felt at ease with each other. Ashleigh and Andy told us what they wanted for their day and our guidance through the process and showing them images of their venue. It really assured them of how their day would unfold. Such an invaluable process to have a discussion with your photographers, even for short wedding coverage
Local Bride Preps
As a local couple to us, we arranged an hour’s coverage of bridal preps before heading to Liverpool for the city centre wedding. Ashleigh and her two bridesmaids were well looked after by Carol Ellis Thompson doing hair. It was such a calming and relaxed atmosphere, so enjoyable. Ashleigh and Andy have a beautiful home and the clean contemporary backgrounds were ideal for showing off the details
Liverpool Ceremony St Georges Hall
Flags were flying high at St Georges Hall and red carpet out as Ashleigh swept up the external steps to enter. The wedding was on a Monday afternoon and the only one that afternoon, so peaceful! Saturday weddings here can be chaotic with so many function rooms available and numerous weddings taking place.
The Rose Room is available for very small weddings – the couple and witnesses ideally. The Sefton Room is most suited to small weddings and has beautiful window light. The concert room is a grand setting for large weddings at St Georges Hall The Grand Jury Room can seat up to 50 guests comfortably this is where Ashleigh & Andy opted for their ceremony.
Just a dozen or so guests and Ashleigh was walked in by Andy’s dad – a lovely touch. A beautiful emotional ceremony ensued. When it came to the I do’s, Andy replied with ” I do, I really, really do!” Cue lump in throat moment as clicking the camera shutter! So many beautiful moments between them, so adorable, so obviously in love. Registers were signed and beaming smiles they swept down the stairs and out to confetti shots.
Portraits St Georges Hall Liverpool
Few family groups over and then time for some portraits with Ashleigh and Andy amongst the amazing colonnades architecture of this grand Liverpool building. Such a relaxed time but it soon flew by and it was off to the taxi rank across the road to get them to their hotel reception. Of course, took the chance to get some more candid shots in the city centre as they crossed over.
Thank you, Ashleigh and Andy, for the privilege of meeting you and capturing your day as you wished for. You were a real delight and know we will keep in touch Wishing you much more love and happiness in the years to come. Dave & Sandy xx
Intimate Sheldrakes Restaurant Wedding Dee Estuary
Sheldrakes Restaurant Wedding
We always love having an intimate Sheldrakes Restaurant wedding to shoot. Its a fab wedding venue right on the Dee estuary and local to us. We often cover ceremony, family pics and portraits here for an affordable wedding photography solution Not everybody wants full day coverage and we are glad we can be flexible being such a local Wirral venue.
Jonathan and Debbie booked us for such a package – and its surprising how much can be covered in this time. A relaxed day with guests enjoying a drink on teh terrace before the ceremony A joyful Sheldrakes Restaurant wedding – a lovely touch was Jonathan waiting at the top of the aisle for Debbie. Her proud dad handing her over and then letting the two of them walk together the rest of the way down the aisle to get married.
It was a bit of an overcast day but we got through the family groups and portraits in the nick of time. Literally just as the raindrops started to fall! Happily by then it was time for the wedding breakfast to begin so all was well and everyone kept dry.
Jonathan and Debbie thank you for being such a great couple and asking us to cover your intimate wedding It was a joy to see you enjoy each others company so much and all teh giggles you shared. We wish you much happiness.
Natasha & Sam’s Intimate Birkenhead Town Hall Ceremony
Sometimes all that is required is a simple intimate Birkenhead Town Hall ceremony. Its just about getting married with those dearest around you and having a meal afterwards. Then of course jet of to the Maldives for a fabulous honeymoon. So happy for you guys you had the day you wanted your way and it stayed dry and bright if a bit cold!
Birkenhead Town Hall is set in the beautiful Georgian Hamilton Square. No two sides alike and the large space being left for the imposing Town Hall Not many realise but the ceremony upstairs is large and with beautiful stained glass windows. The lower first floor is home to the local war museum and history of the area – worth a visit sometime
Its was a cool day but we made the most of the April blossom in the square. Natasha looked simply elegant in her ASOS long sleeved low back fitted wedding dress. So many photo opportunities within the confines of Hamilton Square – the green lawn in front, the blossom, the colonnades on the upper Town Hall an street scenes around. Natasha and Sam your abundant joy and chemistry was really special to witness and thank you for allowing us to capture these salient memories of your day
So Happy for our couple that this delightful Peel Hey wedding could take place with dad walking his beautiful daughter down the aisle. A few months ago there were some scary times. …Michelle could not contemplate the wedding without her dad and rearranged her date. We were so happy we could change dates with them.
Refreshed from our winter cruise and stay in the Caribbean this February day started bright and dry. Peel Hey is a welcoming guest house and Wirral wedding venue. A cosy atmosphere and marquee facilities, suitable for small intimate weddings.
Guests started to arrive and Mike was on hand to greet them. Michelle arrived in a cute red MG. Their daughter and niece were the cutest liveliest flower girls! We managed a few gorgeous shots of them larking around. Lots of giggles and smiles in the ceremony, the room was packed out with family and friends. So lovely to see their daughter involved during the ceremony.
Then time for canapes and group photos and a few portraits in the grounds of Peel Hey before we left them to enjoy the rest of the day. One of our special short coverage weddings, only for our preferred local venues. Hope you enjoy these highlights in the gallery below.
Pixsmiths are a preferred supplier at Peel Hey and you can see us at their regular open evenings. The next date is 28th March – hope to see you there to chat weddings!
Just recently Pixsmiths had the pleasure of covering a small intimate ceremony at Chester Registry rooms Our couple didn’t want a fuss, don’t like being centre of attention so this was how they wanted their day. They arranged a bespoke short package with us tailored to their needs A simple ceremony with mums and grandparents and one cute daughter flower girl.
Kate arrived really early – so took the opportunity for a few pics beforehand Its a little odd but the registrars see the couple together to check their details. When we realised this a quick “first look” was arranged. for Kate and Michael. So enjoyed seeing their reaction and hugs. The ceremony was short and sweet with hugs all around after. Then time for a few quick groups before the newly weds headed off to Thornton Hall
Later a much larger party was arranged at Thornton Hall Hotel in the beautiful renovated Crystal suite. Here the scene was buzzing throughout the bar and reception room. We covered some essential family groups and a few couple portraits. We left them to enjoy their dancing and photobooth provided by ProBooth and the fireworks planned for later.
So happy Kate and Michael had the day they wanted and glad we could capture the essential moments for them. enjoy a few highlights
cute kisses for the bride!
Interested in short coverage for the essential parts of the day? Often worth asking us for special deals, if midweek/late booking when available.
Intimate Liverpool Town Hall Wedding: Jennie & Simon
Just last week Pixsmiths had the pleasure of kicking off our 2018 wedding season with a delightful intimate Liverpool Town Hall wedding for Jennie and Simon A cold brisk but dry day for the gathering of family at Liverpool’s Town Hall. A splendid grade I listed building, one of the finest Town Halls from the 18th century. Situated in the heart of Liverpool’s cultural centre Its civic rooms are a complete example of late Georgian decoration with its portraits and chandeliers. Well worth a tour – check out website for details.
Jennie and Simon booked us just a few weeks before their wedding – one of our special midweek packages we are available for. So happy, even though a short wedding package they appreciated having professional quality images to mark their special day. Dave happily captured the couples arrival. Jennie with her mum who was understandably emotional at her daughters’s wedding. Jennie looking so elegant in her lace knee length dress with beautiful back button detail. The bridal bouquet was a beautiful mix of purple flowers, white roses and thistles with green leaves interspersed.
City Chic Intimate Liverpool Town Hal Wedding
Jennie was pleasantly surprised to see the screen announcement in the foyer for their wedding Soon it was time for the ceremony, such an elegant room befitting our couple. Vows were made in front of their immediate family to much joy. No bridesmaids of groomsmen just a simple beautiful couple and their family. Ceremony captured and it was time for a few family groups and then couple emerged joyously for some couple shots before heading to 30 James St for their private meal. The Chinese lanterns from the recent Chinese New Year celebrations added wonderful splash of red to the square along with the telephone boxes.
30 James St Reception
Only a short walk to 30 James St, but cold enough when you have a lace dress on, so not surprisingly Jennie was wrapped up in her coat. Their room balcony made for some extra shots over the Liverpool skyline as Jennie and Simon enjoyed the late February sunshine before they were left to enjoy their meal. A table set up for their party was ideal for this city chic intimate wedding reception.
Many congratulations Jennie and Simon we wish you much happiness enjoy your blog highlights love Sandy & Dave x
We look forward to being back at 30 James St in just a few weeks time for another wedding.
