Trafford Hall Rustic Wedding Shoot

Rustic Cheshire Georgian Venue

We were blessed to work with amazing creative wedding professionals on this Trafford Hall Rustic Wedding shoot.
We just love collaborating with each other, networking and supporting each other with social media campaigns and images.
So just recently we met up at  the delightful Trafford Hall , a wonderful Georgian House with on site accommodation for guests wishing to stay over.
This charming rustic venue can be decorated as you wish and enjoys delightful woodland, lawns and sunken garden areas for umpteem photo opportunities for your wedding photography.  As photographers we love coming here.  The staff are really welcoming too and will happily advise on plans for your day.

For this shoot  the decor was supplied by Sweetpea & Ivy They love this venue and have dressed Traffordd Hall many times.  Always love their rustic styling, perfect for this venue.  This time they provided an outdoor ceremony area  and a fabulous barrel table laden with cakes and sweets created by Bella’s Cake Pantry
The delicious cakes and cake pops were were from Sue’s water colour and silver leaf collection. Scrumptious!

Indoor Decor

Place cards and menus by Pink Sherbet Stationery  perfectly matched the colour scheme on the tables set up by Sweetpea and Ivy and Wirral Table and Chair Hire The tables were adorned with evergreen leaves and candles in a long wooden container, creating a warm cosy touch.  Little cut glass vases with peach roses  added the touch of colour to the table. The backs of the chairs were adorned with soft pastel swags, tied in the middle with a complimentary satin ribbon. The wooden floors and giant light up LOVE letters either side of the fireplace completed the elegant rusticl ook.

Pixsmiths Creative Photograph had a great time photographing the amazing Katey Elizabeth  around the venue in a gorgeous dress supplied by The Wirral Wedding House  The dress is a hand finished bohemian style beaded gown from Romantica of Devon.
Suited Katey so well, she made a fabulous Boho Bride!

Rachael and Jon Got Married! Leasowe Castle wedding Photography

Relaxed Bridal Preps

Rachael and Jon had long planned their St Nicholas Church and Leasowe Castle wedding for spring of 2017.  They had booked Pixsmiths Creative Photography almost 2 years in advance and we loved following their wedding planning journey with them.  We love to start bridal preps a good two hours before a ceremony,. A relaxed time of mingling with the girls as they are being pampered for the day Rachael lost an amazing 5 stone for her wedding – a real inspiration – too and looked absolutely stunning in her dress from Cherish The Bride. We did hear the story of how a smaller sized dress was obtained right at the last chance!

Personal touches in the Ceremony

The men opted to arrive at St Nicholas in Wallsey on their motorbikes so that was great fun and good for the video which we know Rachael will not regret. Always good to work with Rob Whibley from Action Wedding Videos too, we both have an unobtrusive style>  Rachael and her bridesmaid arrived more traditionally in the luxury  Bentley’s of Classic Bridal Cars Mark and Jane excelled at looking after the girls, always so attentive and keeping them calm, on hand with tissue/umbrellas etc as needed. The ceremony itself was a touching personal service for Rachael and Jon. ~ The Rev Jeff Staples pulled out his guitar and along with the choir gave a special rendition of Hallelujah with had our couple laughing and crying with joy. Even Rev Jeff himself wiped a tear from his eye. The rain made a short appearance towards end of ceremony – we managed to get the big group and confetti outside and then opted for a few formals inside – it can tend to be windy in this location! As they came out again we had this amazing leap from Jon – they both looked so happy and so glad we could capture this a real moment in the day.

Reception in the Turret Suite

On to Leasowe Castle – Rachael breaking with tradition (we love a bit of non-tradition!) by travelling with her dad again as the boys rode their bikes to the Castle Time for some sweet portraits – the spring flowers in the woodland garden added a lovely splash of colour. The Turret suite, a more intimate room for weddings, was bedecked with navy colours to for their colour scheme and Dvelin Designs made a fabulous job with the travel map seating plan and amusing table names appropriate to them and their upcoming amazing round the world mega honeymoon. We left them to enjoy their meal in peace and pooped back in for the speeches – always a favourite part of the day too for us.  Such a hilarious moment when Rachael’s Dad pulled out his speech notes, made on Ladbrokes betting sllips with “HELP” spelt out on the back.

Party Time

Speeches done and now with evening guests arriving it was time to party. Lots of fun with the chocolate fountain and Photobooth from Pixelbooth went down a treat Everyone one had a fabulous time – some memorable dances, including a special one for Rachael and her dad. It was really touching to see the closeness of families and friends. and its a cliche but a day that meant the world to Rachael and Jon Thank you for giving us the privilege of sharing your amazing day, Your joy was so evident and thank you for being so expressive.  A fantastic day to start our wedding season.  Have an amazing honeymoon and every happiness ahead. Love and hugs Sandy & Dave xx

Craxton Wood Wedding: Kirsty and Kevin

A spring fun filled day was the order of events at the Craxton Wood wedding of Kirsty and Kevin.

We started our day just before the ceremony at Chistchurch in Higher Bebbington
Kirsty arrived , on cue in Barrington’s wedding cars, looking amazing in her beautiful dress and hair styled by Christopher Milea, and Make up artist the lovely Cathryn Kerwin Rawlinson.
She was  eager (read nerves!) to get down the altar to Kevin!

The Harpist Oona Linnet played beutifully during the service and for the signing of the register
Few formal pics at the church after – where baby James almost stole the show with the confetti shots.

Onwards to Craxton Wood for the reception – again Oona was playing  and Ben Francis Magician kept the guests entertained as they mingled and had drinks prior to the wedding breakfast.
A big thanks to the wedding co-ordinators and staff at Craxton Wood for all their help and support too.
As Everton Fans the theme was blue and table names to match,  – venue dressing by Sapphire Bespoke Events . Cake was was uniquey crafted and adorned with blue roses by Carla Fesrn odf Carla’s Caketoppers.
Devlin designs finger print tree was a perfect setting to showcase Kirsty and Kevin’s rings which where designed by Roger’s Jewellery

Rounding off the entertainment were Rock Revolution who played during the wedding breakfast and and in the evening party…a particular highlight was Kirsty and her bridesmaids rocking out to Long Tall Sally!
