It was our pleasure to capture the ABode Chester wedding photography of Steven and Preeti recently. The ABode Chester hotel is a luxury hotel close to the town centre of to, hence ideal for sightseeing – just a few minutes walk to the city walls and river. We enjoyed the bridal preps were Preeti wore two different saris for us to capture. Cousins and sister were all on hand to assist and was quite chilled out. The suite on the sixth floor had an amazing view from the balcony overlooking the Chester racecourse and the welsh hills beyond. Made a lovely setting for bridal portrait. The room itself is large and the bathroom suite impressive with bath one side of a wall and a walk through shower on teh other side
Guests gathered for drinlks in teh bar prior to teh 1pm . It was an international affair with guests flying in from around the world Preeti was traditionally late so we really chasing time as meal was scheduled for just one hour later – yes 2pm!
Fortunately our couple knew this, its how they wanted their day and there was just a few groups and portraits to cover. Happily the rain stayed off just until the wedding party sat down for the wedding breakfast and we had got all the shots requested
Loved all the details and colours of this day and in particular the amazing Indian elephant cake. We left them to enjoy their meal and evening party.
Much happiness to you Steven & Preeti
Dads always want to check their son’s collars are clean!
Just recently Pixsmiths had the pleasure of covering a small intimate ceremony at Chester Registry rooms Our couple didn’t want a fuss, don’t like being centre of attention so this was how they wanted their day. They arranged a bespoke short package with us tailored to their needs A simple ceremony with mums and grandparents and one cute daughter flower girl.
Kate arrived really early – so took the opportunity for a few pics beforehand Its a little odd but the registrars see the couple together to check their details. When we realised this a quick “first look” was arranged. for Kate and Michael. So enjoyed seeing their reaction and hugs. The ceremony was short and sweet with hugs all around after. Then time for a few quick groups before the newly weds headed off to Thornton Hall
Later a much larger party was arranged at Thornton Hall Hotel in the beautiful renovated Crystal suite. Here the scene was buzzing throughout the bar and reception room. We covered some essential family groups and a few couple portraits. We left them to enjoy their dancing and photobooth provided by ProBooth and the fireworks planned for later.
So happy Kate and Michael had the day they wanted and glad we could capture the essential moments for them. enjoy a few highlights
cute kisses for the bride!
Interested in short coverage for the essential parts of the day? Often worth asking us for special deals, if midweek/late booking when available.
We were blessed to work with amazing creative wedding professionals on this Trafford Hall Rustic Wedding shoot. We just love collaborating with each other, networking and supporting each other with social media campaigns and images. So just recently we met up at the delightful Trafford Hall , a wonderful Georgian House with on site accommodation for guests wishing to stay over. This charming rustic venue can be decorated as you wish and enjoys delightful woodland, lawns and sunken garden areas for umpteem photo opportunities for your wedding photography. As photographers we love coming here. The staff are really welcoming too and will happily advise on plans for your day.
For this shoot the decor was supplied by Sweetpea & Ivy They love this venue and have dressed Traffordd Hall many times. Always love their rustic styling, perfect for this venue. This time they provided an outdoor ceremony area and a fabulous barrel table laden with cakes and sweets created by Bella’s Cake Pantry The delicious cakes and cake pops were were from Sue’s water colour and silver leaf collection. Scrumptious!
Place cards and menus by Pink Sherbet Stationery perfectly matched the colour scheme on the tables set up by Sweetpea and Ivy and Wirral Table and Chair Hire The tables were adorned with evergreen leaves and candles in a long wooden container, creating a warm cosy touch. Little cut glass vases with peach roses added the touch of colour to the table. The backs of the chairs were adorned with soft pastel swags, tied in the middle with a complimentary satin ribbon. The wooden floors and giant light up LOVE letters either side of the fireplace completed the elegant rusticl ook.
Pixsmiths Creative Photograph had a great time photographing the amazing Katey Elizabeth around the venue in a gorgeous dress supplied by The Wirral Wedding House The dress is a hand finished bohemian style beaded gown from Romantica of Devon. Suited Katey so well, she made a fabulous Boho Bride!
Trafford Hall Such a sunny day for a glorious Trafford Hall wedding day. Cassie and James enjoyed a relaxed fun day here with their family and friends Trafford Hall is a great Chester wedding venue if you want to put your own stamp on your day. It’s a beautiful red brick Georgian Mansion with ample space outdoors, a lawn, swing, woods and sunken garden areas amongst the onsite 52 bedded accommodation. Its an exclusive use venue so you will be the only bride her on the day. Its fantastic that all the profits generated by weddings and events at Trafford Hall are ploughed back into the charitable work carried out at the hall as well as the development of our eco friendly facilities and policies.
This was one of our bespoke packages – 4 hours covering from an hour before ceremony through to couple sat down for their weddign breakfast Lots of activity in the bridal prep room – one of the many rooms upstairs – with 6 bridesmaids and two make-up artists, bride’s mum and then day and various other people popping in. The maids looked fantastic in their navy dresses and pink wraps Just as well Dave went to capture the men’s arrival and some venue details whilst this was going on. Lots of giggles and moments in the ceremony – i’m sure there was a tear in the eye from James when Cassie entered and walked with her dad. All too soon the new Mr and Mrs were being showered with dried lavender in the bright sunshine– a change from confetti and suited their country garden theme.
The venue was set up by the creative talented vintage venue dressers and prop hire company Sweetpea & Ivy. You can see below how fab it looked Lots of great touches with wooden Love Letters, lanterns, lace and china on the tables and plenty of flowers. The amazing cake was made by Cassie’s mum – just check it out below in the images – very intricate and colourful! A really unique personal touch were the hand drawn place names for each guest – love those!
Family groups done and then time for some bride and groom portraits in the quaint garden – always some nooks and crannies to find Perfect timing as chef was calling for guests to enter for their meal – all beautifully cooked on site. he was impressed we kept on schedule! No speeches to be had so we just finished with some detail shots and a ring shot as requested by Cassie in her bouquet. Many congratulations on such a sunny day at Trafford Hall on your wedding Cassie and James. Wishing you much happiness love Sandy & Dave x
