Long-Awaited Hillabrk Hotel Wedding: Eloise and Chris
A Church wedding at the historic Christchurch Port sunlight and a relaxed fun-filled reception at the prestigious Hillbark Hotel were the order of the day for a May Wedding
A long time in the planning and rearranging for various reasons but at last Eloise and Chris had their amazing day and what a day of celebration it was.
We had previously covered the farm tipi wedding of Eloise’s brother so it was great to catch up with the family again .
Bridal Preps
Bridal preps were at Eloise’s parents home – a time for chilling and milling with the girls as they get ready
Fab team with Nicola Joyce MUA and Chris Millea on hair.
Gorgeous flowers arrived from Amelia Jayne Flowers
For a church wedding, we like to arrive a good 2-3 hours before the ceremony.
The guys we meet about 45 minutes prior to the ceremony and to capture arrivals
Christchurch Port Sunlight Ceremony
An early ceremony this one at 11.00, the bride traditionally late so it was quick into the ceremony and a walk down that long aisle to her waiting groom.
With two photographers the ceremony is captured at a variety of angles.
Afterward a large group shot and confetti time before the London red Bus transport took them off to Hillbark
Such a sunny day that shades were a must. A previous date was quite rainy so the sunshine was so welcome
that confetti gets everywhere!
Reception Hillbark Hotel
On arrival, the guests alighted from the red bus. The sunshine was perfect for guests to enjoy the outside seating with their drinks and canapes before the speeches
A late decision meant the speeches were held in the bar area before guests were called in for meal.
Chris was surprised with a photo from the stag do and had to have it on display for the evening
After the meal, there was plenty of time to mingle with the friends and family in the gloriously warm sunhine and have time for some softer light couple portraits.
The evening was soon in full swing with the band Indigo – really good and got the crowd involved. The photo booth was a big hit too!
Chris and Eloise after all you have been through so happy you had your amazing day. Wishing you much health and happiness in the coming years
Thank you for letting us share and capture your day and creating you a beautiful keepsake family heirloom album.
What a wonderful wedding for Stacey and Dan so delighted were were recommended to this lovely couple by a previous Pixsmiths couple
A great combination of a traditional church wedding at Christchurch Port Sunlight and then a relaxed Arrowe Brook Farm Tipi wedding reception.
Been busy editing but been longing to share this blog post
An early 11.30 am ceremony meant early preps for our bride and bridesmaids – and not forgetting Stacey and Dan’s two adorable boys
Plenty of candid moments at Stacey’s mum and dad’s with everyone, Clearly a very devoted family.
A lovely emotional moment with dad when he saw his beautiful daughter in her bridal gown.
Great service from Lisa of Elegance Bridal in Bebbington who not only helped her into her dress but did a last-minute finishing alteration,
plus helped her into the car (which was a bit tricky!) and out of it when arriving at the church.
Church Ceremony Christchurch Port Sunlight
Christchurch is a beautiful church in historic Port Sunlight, with the longest aisle on the Wirral. Always a popular church.
The new minister here is so welcoming and helpful to photographers allowing photography from the front and the back of the aisle.
Stacey’s ruffled fishtail dress looked fabulous from the back of the church
There was a slight drizzle on the way in but as Stacey and Dan exited it was sunshine and shades were on!
A few family pics and then a red bus whisked the guests off to Arrowe Brook farm for the tipi reception
Arrowe Brook Farm Tipi Wedding Reception
So the bus arrived at Arrowe Brook Farm with guests spilling out to enjoy more welcome drinks – the bus had been stocked too with supplies!
Arrowe Brook Farm is a brilliant location for a tipi or marquee wedding. It’s also a camping and caravan site so it has toilet facilities on site.
Not many know about this place – bit of a hidden gem, but we have shot here a couple of times beforehand.
Bride and groom and several guests were staying over and the tipis set up by All About Me Marquee and Events looked fabulous in the sunshine
Lots of photo opportunities on the farm for bride and groom portraits.
with such a big group it was ideal to capture the big group shot in front of the tipi – followed by some impromptu informal group shots
Such a happy relaxed day – it just flowed perfectly, no time constraint pressure and everyone was enjoying themselves immensely.
The bbq food provided by local caterers Manna Food was plentiful and superb. – thank you for the hospitality!
The table names were drinks with the corresponding spirit bottle and rustic design with a pallet table plan and a gorgeous cake from Iced Inspirations atop a barrel
Just see how happy Stacey is!
After the cake cut Stacey and Dan enjoyed a stroll for some evening pics before the night dancing took place.
DJ Mark Forde and the band had everyone rocking out – it was a late night but so enjoyable.
The lights in the tipi looked magical as night fell.
So honoured Stacey and Dan that you asked us to capture your amazing day.
The early ceremony meant guests could really enjoy a long day together with you – and they certainly did! – and not have the day rush by.
Just the type of wedding we love.
Wishing you and your lovely family much health and happiness.
Love Dave & Sandy xx
Oh, Helen and Sean we absolutely loved sharing your amazing relaxed Rowton Hall wedding day! Absolute joy and privilege to capture all those moments.
A wonderful church ceremony in Wirral’s beautiful URC Christchurch in historic Port Sunlight
A Cheshire wedding reception out at the stunning and wonderfully organised Rowton Hall Hotel.
We always enjoy weddings at Rowton Hall, just on the outskirts of Chester
Bridal Preps
Bridal preps were very relaxed, all the girls being pampered.
we loved the Wifely for Lifey on the shoe soles! We discovered Helen loves sunflowers, hence the tags on the bridesmaid’s dresses
So it was an obvious choice to get an engagement ring shot on a sunflower – always love to use something with personal meaning
Stephanie from the Wirral wedding house arrived to dress Helen in her gorgeous dress and with her hair and makeup done she looked stunning, truly a radiant bride
A lovely touch for Helen to arrange a lift for Sandy to the church so those last-minute touches could be captured whilst Dave went to catch the men arriving at the church
How handsome do Shaun and all his groomsmen look in their suits from Munros!
Christchurch Port Sunlight Wedding Ceremony Soon it was time for Helen to arrive at Christchurch in the beautiful Bentley of Classic Bridal Cars, with the Bridesmaids eagerly awaiting at the lych gate.
The gardeners had been doing an amazing job right up to the ceremony and the gardens looked immaculate and colourful and the sun was shining!
A walk down that long long aisle to her waiting groom. carrying her granddad’s images with her in her beautiful bridal bouquet from Angela Adlard.
Helen’s best friend and Matron of Honour was THE most attentive bridesmaid, the bond of a long friendship between them was so evident, cue that image of emotions as Helen entered the church.
Hymns were sung and vows exchanged, beautiful ceremony and great to be able to capture photography from the front and back of this gorgeous church now.
Soon out to the bright sunshine, few formal groups and then a confetti exit.
Rowton Hall Wedding Photography – Reception
A stop at the pretty Bridge and Dell afterwards, always popular for bridal portraits, and a bit of a family tradition for Helen’s family, so glad we could incorporate this into their day
Onto to Rowton Hall – a bit of a journey with the road works but time for the new Mr And Mrs to enjoy some alone in their luxury classic car and sipping champagne.
A stroll around the beautiful gardens and then soon time for the wedding breakfast and entertaining speeches.
The evening soon came around and then it was party time on the dance floor with the band Eden rocking the house. Oh and lots of fun with chocolate fountain popcorn and candyfloss!
Many congratulations Helen and Sean on a wonderful memorable day we wish you many many more years of health and happiness much love Sandy & Dave
