Long-Awaited Hillabrk Hotel Wedding: Eloise and Chris
A Church wedding at the historic Christchurch Port sunlight and a relaxed fun-filled reception at the prestigious Hillbark Hotel were the order of the day for a May Wedding
A long time in the planning and rearranging for various reasons but at last Eloise and Chris had their amazing day and what a day of celebration it was.
We had previously covered the farm tipi wedding of Eloise’s brother so it was great to catch up with the family again .
Bridal Preps
Bridal preps were at Eloise’s parents home – a time for chilling and milling with the girls as they get ready
Fab team with Nicola Joyce MUA and Chris Millea on hair.
Gorgeous flowers arrived from Amelia Jayne Flowers
For a church wedding, we like to arrive a good 2-3 hours before the ceremony.
The guys we meet about 45 minutes prior to the ceremony and to capture arrivals
Christchurch Port Sunlight Ceremony
An early ceremony this one at 11.00, the bride traditionally late so it was quick into the ceremony and a walk down that long aisle to her waiting groom.
With two photographers the ceremony is captured at a variety of angles.
Afterward a large group shot and confetti time before the London red Bus transport took them off to Hillbark
Such a sunny day that shades were a must. A previous date was quite rainy so the sunshine was so welcome
that confetti gets everywhere!
Reception Hillbark Hotel
On arrival, the guests alighted from the red bus. The sunshine was perfect for guests to enjoy the outside seating with their drinks and canapes before the speeches
A late decision meant the speeches were held in the bar area before guests were called in for meal.
Chris was surprised with a photo from the stag do and had to have it on display for the evening
After the meal, there was plenty of time to mingle with the friends and family in the gloriously warm sunhine and have time for some softer light couple portraits.
The evening was soon in full swing with the band Indigo – really good and got the crowd involved. The photo booth was a big hit too!
Chris and Eloise after all you have been through so happy you had your amazing day. Wishing you much health and happiness in the coming years
Thank you for letting us share and capture your day and creating you a beautiful keepsake family heirloom album.
Pixsmiths, award-winning Wirral wedding photographers can bespoke a flexible Wirral Wedding package for certain local venues such as Hillbark Hotel.
Do you wish you could have your essential parts of the day covered yet still have some evening coverage without a high price tag?
Depending on your timings this can be possible – it’s exactly what kate did.
Our thanks to Amanda at Hillbark for recommending us. When she knew Kate wished for relaxed natural photos with little fuss she knew we were the ones for this day.
Flexible Wirral Wedding Package Plan
Here is how Kate and Chris had their amazing day – covering all the main components in our flexible 6-hour package
4 HOURS 11 – 3 pm covers preps, with the ceremony at 12.30 pm
3 pm wedding breakfast time guests sit down – We “stopped the clock” whilst we enjoyed a leisurely break and had a meal 1 HOUR 5-6 pm to cover speeches and anything else in that hour
We then took the opportunity to pop home as we are local to Hillbark Hotel 1 HOUR then returned for an hour in the evening (between 8.00 – 9.00) for some dance floor action
Kate and Chris’s Red themed Emotional Hillbark Hotel Wedding
Bridal Prep time when it’s on the same site as the ceremony will get you the most out of a flexible 6-hour package
We enjoyed an hour and a half before the ceremony getting to know the girls and capturing details and candids of the girls
With two of us in attendance, Dave could go and get some shots of the men prior to the ceremony too.
The Dashing groom is a real action man – a diver who nearly had a fatal accident couple of weeks before the wedding.
The actions of his best mate saved the day thank goodness.
Kate, you were a dream bride in your fabulous Bellissima bridal gown
The red theme certainly brightened up the day – from the flowers to the decor, the bridesmaids’ dresses, and of course those amazing red lips!
The day was a family intimate day with so many emotions throughout the day
Nerves before the ceremony
Kate and Chris made their legal vows and then followed by their own personal vows – love this idea – cue lots of tears and wiping of eyes.
Kate and Chris children stole the show by making speeches – cue more tears of pride
The evening, a chance to let their hair down and dance the night away.
kate and Chris thank you so much for letting us capture your family wedding.
What an amazing day you had with the ones that matter the most to you
We wish you much love and happiness.
Adore this shot of Kate proudly walked in by her son – an overhead shot from the minstrel gallery
The strewn aisle flowers and candles and Kate’s bouquet add a splendid pop of colour
Thus all the elements of the day were captured.
It may mean fewer opportunities for more candids in-between times and a second portrait session in the softer light of day
However, if it suits your needs we can be flexible for local Wirral Weddings
So if flexible Wirral wedding packages are what you are looking for we would love to chat.
Alternatively for something shorted we have 3-hour Micro wedding packages.
Fairytale Hillbark Hotel Wedding – Wedding Dream Team Collaboration
Fairytale Hillbark Wedding
G and Danny’s fairytale Hillbark Hotel wedding was absolutely stunning A huge thanks to Amanda for brilliantly coordinating their dream come true day.
Amanda knows wedding suppliers really well and knew who would be perfect for this special wedding.
There are wonderful organisations such as Gift of a Wedding for calling on the generosity of suppliers for a deserving couple.
Amanda however was sensitive to how the Covid pandemic had affected business financially so she didn’t want suppliers to go totally without remuneration for their skills
With personal knowledge of local Wirral wedding suppliers, Amanda knew who would be a perfect fit for this deserving couple.
One of Danny’s closest friends set up a GoFundme account for their dream wedding to draw upon and it worked a treat.
Kate Keenan at Bloom’s floristry provided the beautiful bridal bouquet flowers (and for fixing buttonholes and crowns) which coordinated so well with venue dressing.
The Grand Hall dressed by R’marnies Weddings and Events looked incredible – so befitting a 5-star luxury boutique hotel. never seen it look so decadent.
The makeup team Leigh Jordan and Painted By Leah for making G look and feel like a princess in her so sparkly WED2B gown which fitted perfectly
The pianist and DJ for entraining the guests. You were all amazing key ingredients to this day and made it so so special for G and Danny
Truly a dream come true for them – they had THE best day EVER
So we know G and Danny were so grateful to all their amazing suppliers – they really were the key ingredients to this magical wedding day
They had the fairytale wedding that Danny wished for his amazing bride she so looked the part of a princess bride.
The weather was glorious and guests could enjoy the gardens and outdoor terrace of Hillbark
Thank you to all who took part and of course to Danny and G for allowing us to share their amazin day.
Weddings coming thick and fast at the moment and this HIllbark Hotel wedding is another remarkable one.
Sunny skies, string quartet, and guests from around the globe, beautiful blooms, and creative touches from the bride and groom are the ingredients for this elegant Hillbark wedding.
Hillbark as the Wirral’s premier 5-star hotel is perfectly suited to hosting elegant events and weddings.
Cassie and Samir have busy lives so we didn’t have a chance to meet them beforehand.
So this was a long-awaited, covid-delayed wedding day and we finally got to meet our couple just before the ceremony.
Cassie and Samir – super lovely couple we were immediately at ease with each other.
Bride and groom and families present, friends gathered, a string quartet playing it was time to get wed!
Samir was well looked after by his 5 supporting best men to calm his nerves- glad only one was giving a speech though!
I think you can see from pic below which best man had to learn a speech.
Elegant Ceremony Hillbark Hotel
Hillbark Hotel is a stunning grade-listed 5-star luxury hotel in the midst of the Wirral peninsula. It’s one of our most local Wirral wedding venues.
The grounds are plentiful and so many places to make a gorgeous portrait.
Like most brides, Cassie made her way across the minstrel gallery and downstairs to her waiting handsome groom for the stunning Grand Hall Hillbark Wedding
Samir’s cute niece carefully dropped petals to the floor as she led the bridesmaids and then Cassie and her proud father in.
Vows were made and kisses and wedding documents were signed it was time to celebrate.
Plenty of time for family groups and portraits and relaxing with guests before the wedding breakfast.
Hillbark Wedding Reception
Like the ceremony, the wedding breakfast took place in the Grand Hall. An elegant luxurious setting.
Cute wooden flower detail favours too with their initials in a heart at the top and date at the bottom of the flower.
Creative touches from Cassie who had hand-painted the table signs – named after locations dear to their heart.
The acyclic table signs co-ordinated perfectly with flowers and decorative tea lights from talented local florist – Blooms Floristry
Views from the balcony show the elegant dining hall at its best – and fab detail when all the starters were laid out ready for the wedding party’s feast.
After the meal, it was time to cut the cake and enjoy the speeches.
Samir got quite emotional – but was plied with drinks in rescue.
Again a vantage point from the balcony provided a different perspective.
This was one of our shorter packages so we bid our couple goodbye and left them to enjoy the evening party
Its shows how much can be packed into 6-7 hours of a wedding.
Many congratulations Cassie and Samir on your wedding celebrations – such a delightful time with you – we wish you much happiness.
This blog post has limited photos due to privacy requests.
We look forward to being back at Hillbark very soon for another elegant wedding and to share more images of how special a day here is
Two Historical locations and a quirky wedding venue for this June wedding for Rebecca and Lewis
Far from being flaming June, it did turn out rather wet but the rain didn’t dampen the spirits of our couple.
After several attempts to get married the day had finally come – whatever the weather was doing was ok by them.
In fact, Rebecca had read that rain on a wedding day is seen as good luck, a sign of cleansing and fertility, and some say that rain tightens the knot of a wedding.
(taken from the days of hand-fasting where couples literally tied a knot during their wedding ceremony).
Rainy June Wedding
The rain was on and off most of the day during Bridal preps in the Lord Nelson Room at The Ship at Parkgate – the rooms are spacious and well equipped.
Such a chilled-out vibe with the girls being pampered and readied for the day ahead. Lovely to see the rapport between Rebecca and her daughter.
Neil, The alterations doctor did a splendid job, not only of altering Rebeccas wed2be gown when she lost a lot of weight for her wedding
but also to iron and fit her into her bridal gown on the day and buckle up her shoes under the dress.
Holy Cross Church Woodchurch
Soon it was time to head off for the church ceremony at Holy Cross Woodchurch – the oldest church on the Wirral with an interesting history
So many beautiful looks and emotions as Rebeccas was walked down the aisle by her son George, and preceded by her flower girl daughter. to a waiting Lewis
Friendly ceremony with Rev Christine in attendance and a small choir at the back to sing.
With the new wedding schedules to be signed, Rebecca & Lewis were number 1 on the list for this historic church
Out to confetti and celebratory bubbles before heading off to the Mouse at Brimstage – another historic building at the heart of Wirral – experts dates the Hall at between 1175 and 1350,
Quirky Mouse at Brimstage
The rain was not our friend but our couple was just happy to be married after several postponements, like many other couples
The staff at The Mouse at Brimstage were amazing at hosting the wedding reception – a late change of venue from Rebecca!
The food was delicious, excellent quality the red velvet cheesecake was a winner!
The quirky garden and outdoor bar area are normally where guests can enjoy the outside space – we love the quirky tables and kitsch decor
Can make for fun photos. The kids did get to make use of the slide and climbing frame too.
The twinkly lit restaurant area is a good alternative if indoor is required. and the conservatory area was light bright and colourful with all the quirky details for groups and portraits.
W did manage some outdoor portraits after the speeches too.
So delighted Rebecca and Lewis that you love the images, telling the story of your day
Rebecca and Lewis – thank you for allowing us to capture your day, much love and happiness to you, Dave & Sandy xx
We think the Mouse at Brimstage is a real quirky wedding venue and with its fabulous food and the surrounding gardens and the historic hall is great for an alternative wedding venue.
We are looking forward to being back next year – hopefully venue will have a license for weddings by then but if not a celebrant will be used
Another Micro wedding at Birkenhead Town Hall to enjoy. Seems to be our second home recently!
Each one has been different and we have so enjoyed them. Our Wirral registrars are so lovely and helpful, even under restricted circumstances.
Pre Wedding Shoot
We had previously met up with Georgia and Lee for a pre wed/bump shoot, at the popular scenic beauty spot of Red Rocks.
No dramatic sunset that night but at least dry and even light.
it was good to get to know each other a little better and we had such fun chatting and snapping away.
Oh, we even tested Lee’s drawing in the sand skills with his stick people!
Just a few weeks later it was time for the wedding ceremony
Town Hall Micro Wedding
So on to the wedding day itself. A little drizzle for arrivals but that didn’t dampen the happy smiles.
No first look needed this time – bride and groom and the family arriving together for the short ceremony
Georgia’s beautiful pastel flowers in her bouquet echoed the flowers embroidered on her dress.
Personalised masks for this couple and their guests
The ceremony was the first time we encountered the new wedding schedule that is now signed in place of the marriage certificate.
Marriage certificates are now prepared digitally and are available for collection or postage at a later date.
The new marriage schedule certificate signed at Town hall weddings
Micro Wedding Portraits Birkenhead Town Hall
time for a few groups and portraits – always love the architecture and grounds around Hamilton Square, always somewhere for a picture or two.
Adored Georgia’s denim jacket with her new name on – of course we had to include that in a shot
Many congrats Lee & Georgia and every blessing for the new addition soon! Safe trip to Ireland to family there and for planning a wedding party in Spain at a later date!
